MULTI-PANE INSULATING GLASS DEFINITION
(MIG in accordance with ÖNORM EN 1279)
A mechanically stable and durable unit comprising at least two glass panes separated by
one or more spacers and hermetically sealed around the edges.
Built with safety
Multi-pane insulating glass
MIG 2013
Glass thicknesses and glass structures depending on installation conditions!
2-pane MIG
3-pane MIG
Ug-values:
Ug-values:
from 2,8 to 0,9 W/m2K
from 1,0 to 0,5 W/m2K
Maximum manufacturing thickness: 100 mm
Spacing system(s):
thermally improved profiles “warm edge” (or AL)
Edge bonded system(s):
Polyurethane or silicone
Combinable of course with the conventional ertex safety glass upstream products.
6000 mm
Systematic product base
Wear resistance and main features are assured through:
• the water vapour diffusion index
• edge bond stability
• the manufacturing process
• compliance with recommended standards
• compliance with the required gas leakage rate

Technical functionality on a
high level – to the benefit of
users!
High-end manufacturing technology
MADE IN AUSTRIA assures compliance
with standard gas leakage rate limits.
4
The high controlled degree of automation
in the production of ertl MIG 2013
allows reliable thermal insulation – in
other words, a calculated loss of performance < 0.1 W/m2K after 25 years of
service.

EMISSIONS DURING PRODUCTION:
(“Ecological foot print”)
1 m2 2-pane insulation glass =
31,4 kg CO2 emission
1 kg beef =
15,3 kg CO2 emission

Building product for generations to come
Glass production (solidified melt product) is very energy-intensive. Thanks to the
outstanding features of the transparent building material and the use of sophisticated
coatings allowing visible sunlight to pass through but with controlled reflection of long
wavelength thermal radiation, the current ertl MIG 2013 range saves more energy
in practical use than the energy consumed in its manufacture. Conclusion: “Multi-pane
insulating glass is a reliable building product for generations to come”
Ageing/Wear and tear
The assumed and expected average usage period of ertl MIG 2013 is 25 years.
(Single pane glass exposed to outdoors, e.g. 80 years)

Areas of application
Living with glass: Wall areas flushed with light,
look inside or look outside, as you wish.
Room high glazing, protecting from falling.
Users may rightly and naturally expect safety.
It is yet also a concrete planning task.
The use of low iron oxide extra white float glass
is effective for the presentation of merchandise
behind large area acoustically damping multipane insulating glass (MIG).
Transport & Logistics
We will deliver your new glass.
Ex factory – directly from the manufacturer.
ERTL stands for: “effective, smooth and on-schedule performance”.
We have answers and the solution.
“From production to on site mounting”.
The ERTL GLAS large volume enclosed
loader, a low bed semi-trailer with ideal
loading space dimensions of 13.6 m
length by 2.7 m height (low bed sector
6.5 x 3.3 m), is available for “jumbo
dimensions”.
Please bear in mind that the technical
capability of manufacturing and transporting large format panes requires
equally demanding building site logistics
(e.g. accessibility and material handling).
We will gladly share our know-how
with you.
Loading ertl MIG 2013 into a large
volume enclosed truck. Example: A total
of 60 m2 area or 2.5 tons (largest glass
dimension 5.3 x 2.5 m) are accurately
positioned on the loading area.
