Service Deionization (SDI) Solutions
GE Power & Water Water & Process Technologies Service Deionization (SDI) Solutions Pure water through SDI…it’s what we do GE’s Service Deionization (SDI) solutions provide an ideal solution for pure water needs in any industry requiring from 1.0 up to 18.2 Megohm water. Whether you require bulk water, stand-alone products or service, or a complete mobile water treatment system, GE stands ready to provide the solution for your ultrapure water needs. Our solutions for SDI include: • Integrated Reverse Osmosis (RO)/DI systems • Complete integrated systems such as MF, RO, RO/DI, RO/EDI/DI, UV and UF sterilization • System installation • System service contracts Our clients trust us with the responsibility of maintaining and • System evaluations servicing thousands of their critical DI water systems. Our • System upgrades long history of experienced personnel, strategically located • Field service labor facilities, superior resin quality and our leadership in producing • Off-site membrane cleanings the finest ultrapure water systems around the world give our • DI System sanitizations customers peace of mind. • Consumables, regional stock GE has over 80 SDI field service representatives (FSRs) focused on meeting customer needs for ultrapure water. Our SDI customers receive the high quality service of their DI systems via four regeneration plants and six depots across North America. Treat any source water • River • Well • Process Effluent/Recycle • Municipal Treat it by any technology • Filtration • UF/NF • Demineralizer/MB • RO/EDI Deliver any quality needed • Filtered • Softened • Demineralized • Deoxygenated • Pure/Ultrapure Perform any service • Off-site resin regeneration • Membrane cleanings • Spare parts and consumables • Instrument calibration • GE equipment and others GE SDI – the answer for your pure water needs GE’s SDI solutions include: resins. Resin beds requiring emergency treatment use GE’s MobileFlow* or MultiFlow* trailers for transport to the nearest GE Service Center. Turnaround time at the GE Service Center is 24 to 72 hours, depending on quantity and type of resins received. DI Columns • For customers who require small quantities of pure/ultrapure water • Provide upstream RO and filtration • Brine cleaning organics • Iron fouled cation resins • Separation of cross-fouled resins TurboFlo • Larger SDI tank systems • High flow pure/ultrapure water needs • Off-site regeneration preferred Industrial Services • Water system design • Project management • System installation • Startup and sanitization • Qualification testing • Operational labor • Repairs and upgrades • Audits and recommendations Site Services • Installation • Preventative maintenance • Membrane cleanings and sanitizations • Repairs and refurbishments Ion Exchange (IX) Demineralization • Three resins for demineralization applications: - Strong Acid Cation (SAC) in hydrogen (H+) form. - Strong Base Anion (SBA) in hydroxide (OH-) form. - Mixed Bed polishing for higher purity • Flows up to 400 GPM in a single trailer • Flows up to 400 gpm in a single trailer • Effluent Quality: - Projected < 0. 5 micromhos and < 20 ppb silica - Typical < 0.06 micromhos and < 5 ppb silica Consumable Sales • Disposable Cartridge Filters • Disposable DI Cartridge Filters • Plastic and Stainless Steel Filter Housings • Resistivity/Conductivity Monitoring Systems • Multi-Parameter Monitoring Systems • Ultraviolet Disinfection/TOC/O3 Destruct units Resin Cleaning GE provides cleaning and separation services for ion exchange Below is the typical multi-process SDI system and the typical mixed bed SDI system.
