Rules:Alldecisionsmadebythetournamentdirectorandorthetournamentofficialswillbefinal.The
tournamentdirectorcanmakeachangeathisdiscretionorwhenthesafetyoftheanglersisinquestion.
Interpretationoftheseruleswillbeleftexclusivelytothetournamentdirector.
Eligibility:Thisisanopentournament.Youmustbe18yearsofageoroldertofishasanindividualorone
teammembermustbe18yearsorolder.Nooneotherthanpaidcontestantsareallowedintheboat
duringtournamenthours.Youmusthaveavalidfishinglicenseandstateissueddriverslicenseorphoto
identificationcardinyourpossessionduringtournamenthours.
BaitsandTackle:Onlyartificialluresmaybeusedwithexceptionofporkrindsandliquidbaitattractants.
Nolivebait.Notrollingwiththemainengine.Onlyonerodmaybeusedatatime.Acastmustbefully
retrievedbeforeanotherrodispickedup.Youmaynotsnagorfoulhookbeddingfish.
PermissibleWaters:Nofishingwithin50yardsofanoperatinggaspump,within25yardsofanonanchoredboatwithoutpermissionor50yardsofananchoredortiedboatwithatrollmotorupondeck
withoutpermission.Contestantmustbeabletodriveintoallfishingareas.Contestantcannotleaveboat
tolandafish.
WeighIn:Weighinwillbeginat3pmatJacksonHillParkMarinaonSaturday,June25.Intheeventof
multipleflightsbeingassigned,alternateweighintimesmayoccur.Youmanyweighinanytimebefore
yourassignedweighintime.
LatePenalty:Anyboatnotinbytheassignedweigh-intimewillbedisqualifiedfromthetournament.
BoatLaunch:Anglersarepermittedtolaunchtheirboatfromanylocationonthelakeaftersafelight.All
anglersMUSTcheckinattournamentregistrationbeforetheyareallowedintothewater,failuretodoso
willresultinforfeiturefromthetournament.Anyanglerslaunchingfromtournamentmarinawilllaunch
oncethetournamentdirectorhasdetermineditsafe.
TournamentCancellation:Shouldthetournamentdirectorcancelthetournamentfordangerous
conditions,etc,refundswillbeavailablethroughtheSFAAlumniAssociation.
AlcoholicBeveragesandDrugs:Anyoneconsumingalcoholicbeveragesordrugs(otherthanprescription)
duringtournamenthourswillbedisqualified.Ifyoufeelyoumayhavebigbassoryourfishmayputyou
inthemoney,donotconsumealcoholordrugsuntilweigh-inhasconcludedandpolygraphshavebeen
determined.NOalcoholordrugswillbeallowedintheboatduringtournamenthours.
Sportsmanship:Allcontestantsareexpectedtopracticecourtesy,safety,andfollowlocalandstategame
laws.Anyonedisplayingpoorsportsmanshiporviolatinglocalandstategamelawswillbedisqualified.
Polygraph:Eachcontestantagreestosubmittoapolygraphexaminationbyenteringthistournament
andmustabidebyitsconclusion.Allpolygraphsmustbepassedinordertoreceivecashorproduct.If
youhaveeverfailedforanyformofcheating,youcannotparticipateinSFATournaments.
BoatsandMotors:Noengineshallexceedthemaximumhorsepowerratingfortheboatonwhichitis
used.AllboatsshallmeetU.S.CoastGuardandstateregulations.Allboatsmusthaveanemergencyshut
offdevice.Allboatsmusthaveaeratedlivewellsinworkingorder,unlessotheraeratedsetupsare
approvedbytheTournamentDirector.
Safety:Coastguardapprovedlifevestsmustbewornandsecured,andtheshutoffdeviceattachedto
driverwhilemainengineisoperating.Thisissuggestedatalltimesandwillbeenforcedoncompetition
days.Cellphonesmaybeusedforemergency,orbreakdownsonlyduringtournamenthours.Incaseof
breakdown,youmaygetintoanothercontestant’sboattocometoweigh-in.
14. ScoringFish:Amaximumoffivefishperteamorindividualwillbeweighedpertournament.Adeadfish
penaltyof.50(onehalfpound)perfishwillbedeductedfromthetotalweight.Penaltyof.50willbe
deductedoffanydeadBigBassweighed.Onlylargemouth,Kentuckyspotted,orsmallmouthbasswillbe
weighed.Anyteamorindividualbringinginmorethanfivefishtoweigh-inwillbedisqualified.Allfish
mustmeasureatleast14inchesinlength.Shortfish–youwillloseshortfishplusa1lb.penalty.
15. Culling:Noteamorindividualmayhavemorethanfivefishintheirlivewellatanyonetime.Youmust
cullafteryouareinpossessionofthesixthbass.Deadfishcannotbeculled.
16. Ties:Tieswillbebrokenbysplittingthemoneybetweenthetiedteams.
17. Protests:Allprotestsmustbesubmittedinwritingwithin15minutesafterweigh-intothetournament
director.
18. NOTOURNAMENTANGLERSHALLLEAVETHEBOATFORANYREASONUNLESSOFANEMERGENCY.
TournamentAwards:
60%oftheregistrationcostswillgotowardsacashprizetobegiventothetopthreeplacefinisherin
thetournament.AdditionalprizeswillbeawardedforBigBass.
Parking:
Therewillbea$3traileringfeeassessedtoallboats.Paymentmustbemadebycashwhentheboat
arrivesatJacksonHillParkMarina.
