INDONESIAN WEALTH MANAGEMENT FORUM 2015 WELCOME We are delighted to host our 4th annual Indonesian Wealth Management Forum 2015 today in Jakarta. Please mark the date of our 2016 event in your calendar now – Thursday, 20th October. Indonesia continues to offer a huge opportunity to organisations looking to capitalise on the potential of a rapidly-increasing middle class among a vast population. But taking advantage of this in a profitable and sustainable way is easier said than done. The role of regulations, in particular, in sculpting the industry’s development. The new OJK regulator is doing things that will have a profound impact on the industry’s direction; how companies cope with that will determine their relative success. There is also the new Tax Amnesty Law and Automatic Exchange of information (AEOI) to contend with. In general, this dictates an onshore drive – assuming the industry can create and sustain the resources required to enable it to offer a professional and efficient service. Added to these dynamics is the influence of technology, especially via mobile, digital and social channels. Further, there continues to be a need for product innovation and education of both clients and advisers alike, to achieve the right balance in portfolios. Today’s agenda is therefore designed to include presentations, case studies and panel discussions – to look at where the market is at today, the opportunities and challenges it faces, and where it needs to go to move it to the next level. Also key to the content at this event is providing insights from experts in overseas markets – sharing best practices, the components of successful businesses, and lessons learned from developing wealth management offerings elsewhere in Asia. We are also video-recording the presentations and writing up content from the discussions – and we will send this to you. We are delighted to host this must-attend fixture in the Indonesian wealth management calendar. Thank you for your support and attendance. We hope you enjoy the forum.
