CEO Message
Macedon Ranges Health (MRH) is
a community based, not–for–profit
organisation dedicated to serving
children, adults and seniors’ health
care needs in the community.
It was formed in 1958 by the
amalgamation of the Gisborne
Bush Nursing Hospital, The Oaks
Nursing Home, The Elms Hostel
and Gisborne District Community
Health.
MRH’s
Home
Care
Team
can assist you
to retain your
independence
at home. Experienced nurses and
care staff are available 24/7 to assist
with nursing care, personal care,
domestic tasks, home maintenance
and gardening. Day and overnight
respite is also available.
The Macedon Ranges Health
Centre opened in March 2015,
its services include: a GP Clinic,
Pathology, Pharmacy, Cafe and
an extensive range of allied health
services: Psychology, Podiatry,
Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology,
Diabetes Education, Dietetics,
Speech
Pathology,
Remedial
Massage and Naturopathy.
MRH’s much loved Gisborne Oaks
provides residential and respite
aged care services. The facility was
the recipient of the 2015/16 Award
For Excellence “Small Provider
Winner” at the Leading Aged
Services Australia awards. You
and/or your family will receive high
quality care in a warm & supportive
environment.
Health and lifestyle programs
include asthma education, first aid
courses, sexual health screenings,
Youth Clinic, the Men’s Shed, the
“Opportunity On Hamilton” Op
Shop and a thriving volunteers

Lifestyle Enhancement Program
This service has been established to provide a welcoming and supportive
environment for older people living in our community and the Gisborne
Oaks.
MRH’s extensive range of Lifestyle Enhancement Programs are
designed to promote the wellbeing and independence of our clients.
Activities include:
In 2015 Gisborne Oaks won the LASA excellence small
provider award. LASA is the peak industry body for
aged care in Victoria. This great achievement reflects
the high standard of care and compassion provided to
residents and clients by our wonderful staff.

fees may apply in accordance to

guidelines. For people with assets above a minimum threshold an
accommodation bond may be required.

Neal Street Medical Clinic
Neal Street Medical Clinic opened
in March 2015. We are located in the
heart of Gisborne at 5 Neal Street in
the Macedon Ranges Health Centre.
We are a family medical clinic and we
aim to provide continuity of care to
families in the area. The clinic is owned
and run by Gisborne residents and our
association with the local community is
very important to us.
Your choice of doctor will be respected
and your care will be our main focus.
All GP Consultations are bulk billed for
all patients on weekdays and weekends.
Gap fees will only be payable for;
• Minor procedures
• Skin excisions
• Dressing clinics
• Plastering for fractures
Any payments will need to be made in
full on the day of the consult.
Designated Aviation Medical Examiners
(DAME) are available to do CASA
approved medicals for our pilots in
the region.
Our Cosmetic Clinic is open. Initially
we will be providing Anti-wrinkle
injections and Dermal fillers. The clinic
will be run by doctors trained in these
procedures and are also passionate
about aesthetics. In due course
we will have a Beautician onsite to
provide other services.
