Status Update
• SPACE Forum 2016
 ISG Director proposed if we collocate with SPACE CMSTC can choose the conference chair
to ensure we get ICSSC represented appropriately
 We are waiting for 2014 results to see if it in our best interest to repeat in 2016
• DASC 2016 (Digital Avionics Systems Conference)
 Discussion with Denise Ponchak (Chair Digital Avionics TC)
 Very positive reception, but some logistical issues
–
–
DASC would take ownership of the entire logistics
They use IEEE for paper submission and IEEExplore for storing papers (AIAA may have an issue with this)
 Continuing discussion
• KaBand Conference
 No discussions pending results of the 2014 conference and DASC discussions
ACTION: Chuck Cynamon to send/provide the East Coast Conference options to TC (8/4/14)

ICSSC-AIAA-SPACE Forum Issues: All
• Record of Discussion (Meeting Held on 8th Jan 2012)
 (2.a) ICSSC used to be held every two years in North America (NA) and alternating between
the East and West coasts before year 2000. After 2000, the ICSSC was alternating in oddnumbered years between Europe and Asia while maintaining its presence in NA every two
years as in the past.
 (2.e) “village concept” in NA co-located with the Space conference when in the West coast
and potentially with another AIAA conference to be held in the East coast in order to maintain
our alternating locations.
 (2.j) When the conference is held in NA, AIAA will handle all the logistics with support from
the CMS TC.
• CMSTC Experienced Significant Issues with Item (2.e)
 Lessons Learned
– Action Item: ICSSC 2014 Leadership to Coordinate/Report Lessons Learned by Oct 1st , 2014
 Next Steps
– Action Item: ICSSC 2015 Leadership to Schedule/Execute Plans to Avoid Issues
– Action Item: ICSSC 2016/2017 Leadership to Prepare Plans According to Outcome of ICSSC
