The Wildspitzbahn transports you up to 3,440 metres
in just 6 minutes to pure snow pleasure. Here you
will enjoy extensive ski runs under the best possible
conditions from September until May.
Sporty skiers hit the challenging slopes, while the
kids practise at the beginners’ lift – the Rifflsee
ski area has both. Our snowmaking system allows
you to ski the valley run down to Mandarfen
right up until spring.

Non-use of the ski pass due to poor weather conditions, avalanche danger,
systems failure, closure of slopes, unexpected departures etc. are not valid claims

CHILD-SAFE LIFT TRAVEL ON THE SUNNA ALM CHAIRLIFT
The Sunna Alm chairlift is the first lift in world to use a recently developed
technology ensuring our smallest guests always travel safely. The chair arrives
in a lower position to make climbing aboard even easier and the new safety
bar closing system ensures the entire trip is safe and comfortable.
DISCOUNTED PASSES: Photo ID is required for the purchase of discounted passes
(bambini, children, senior citizens and disabled) without exception. There are no
further discounts on already discounted passes.
PHOTO: A photograph is required for annual passes. A photo is taken at our ticket
counters and is free of charge.
FREERIDE &
SKI TOURING
KEYCARDS: Our card system is exclusively on contact-free data carriers (key
card). For the ski pass (Pitztal Glacier and Rifflsee) a deposit of € 5.00 will be
charged for each key card. The deposit will be returned by bringing back the
undamaged key card. The key card may be returned at all ticket counters of the
Pitztaler Gletscherbahn (until 4.00 pm), vending machine at the Pitztal Glacier
bottom station or the tourism office, sporting goods stores or hotel receptions.
All lift ticket verification is done electronically at all gondolas and the lifts in the
skiing area. Non-skiers are issued magnetic tickets for single trips, which must be
inserted into the appropriate card readers.

THE INSIDER TIP AMONG CONNOISSEURS
Wide mountainsides, infinitely powder and untracked lines waiting for free riders
and snowboarders at the Pitztal.
MISUSE, REPLACEMENT AND EXTENSIONS: Ticket inspections are carried out
regularly and at random. The ski pass must be shown to lift personnel upon
request. Ski passes are issued to individuals and are non-transferable. Do not buy
any tickets or passes from unauthorized vendors – such tickets or passes may be
blocked! Any misuse will result in immediate confiscation and a fine equal to triple
the daily tariff. We reserve the right to press charges. The subsequent exchange
for another ski pass and extension or postponement of the validity period is not
possible.
PITZTAL WILD FACE & FREERIDE CAMPS
In the end of February the Freeride World Tour Qualifier „Pitztal Wild Face“ takes
place and made this area to one of the Freeride Hot Spots. At the Wild Face Race
only speed matters. For all those who like to enjoy skiing off piste in untouched
powder snow you should join one of the Freeride Camps which take place on
several weekends between January and April. Some extras are included - all details
you will find on www.pitztaler-gletscher.at/en/freeride
MIXED PRICE: A mixed price is calculated for ski passes when seasons overlap.
BREATHTAKING SKI TOURS ON THE SURROUNDING
3,000 M MOUNTAINS OF THE PITZTAL
The Pitztal Glacier and the Rifflsee ski area offer the ideal starting point
for numerous ski tours on one day, for example to the Wildspitze, „Hinterer
Brochkogel“, „K2“, „Rostizkogel“ and to many others.
PARKING: Free parking in all our car parks!
PISTE RESCUE: Should you need to be rescued on the slopes, you will be charged
by us and required to pay in cash.
REFUNDS IN THE EVENT OF SKIING ACCIDENTS: In the event of a skiing accident,
money will only be refunded when the ski pass is valid for two days or more. No
refunds will be made to accompanying persons. The refund is calculated from the
time the ski pass is handed in and not from the day of the accident. A medical
certificate from a local doctor must be obtained and presented before any refund
can be given.
TIP
SKI PASS PARTNERSHIPS: The individual services to which the pass entitles you
are provided by independent operators. The company selling the pass acts solely
as a representative of the other operators. The respective operator is therefore
responsible for the provision of these services and for damage claims arising from
any unforeseen incidents.
LOSS: Lost ski passes will only be replaced upon presentation of a code-blocking
receipt (till receipt) and for a processing fee. A replacement keycard must also be
paid for.
GLACIER & RIFFLSEE “CHOICE” SKI PASS
The following lines will take you from your accommodation into the ski area
and back, stopping at all stops according to the current ski bus timetable:
DIGITAL RECORDING: We would like to point out that photos are taken for
monitoring purposes at all check points in the ski areas Pitztal Glacier and Rifflsee.
The buildings of the Pitztaler Gletscherbahn GmbH & Co KG are monitored by
closed-circuit television.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: Instructions from the lift and slope personnel must
be strictly obeyed for safety reasons. Any infringement of these instructions or
disorderly behaviour on the slopes will result in the passenger no longer being
permitted to use the lifts. The ski pass will be confiscated and not replaced!

Europe’s first passive house at an altitude of 2,300 metres offers traditional
“Hüttengerichte” (hut cuisine) and a fresh “Suppentheke” (soup counter).
GROUP DISCOUNTS: An employee from the Pitztal Glacier will gladly provide you
with information about group discounts upon written request.
KAUNERTAL PLUS: When you purchase a multi-day ski pass (valid with min. 6-day
ski passes) you get up to 2 days use of the lift facilities on the Kaunertal Glacier
and the Fendels ski area. This does not apply to special discount weeks.

FREE “BAMBINI” PASS: From day 1, children under 10 years (including birthday

multiple purchases. Not valid for season passes, partnership/combination passes

aware that children under 1 m 20 cm tall may not travel alone.
EXTRA DAY: Holders of a min. 5-day ski pass have the possibility to purchase an
extra day at a special rate.

The après ski meeting point where you can order a fresh pilsner on tap,

HALF-DAY PASSES: ½, 1 ½, 2 ½ and 3 ½ day ski passes can be purchased
after 11.35 am. Morning passes are not available. First ascent with the Glacier
Express at 11.45 am.

Pitztal VVT ski bus, you can get to the Rifflsee ski area and Pitztal Glacier from
