High quality beige felt with wide
brim. Size : 7 1/8 shown inside. The
sweatband is stamped in Gold:
R.C.M.P and BILTMORE. The brown
leather band around the crown
outside is in perfect condition and
its buckle is covered with leather,
sign of a vintage hat (42 years old).
Inside, this leather band is marked
R.C.M.P-25 and dated 1974. A leather
thong is present to retain the hat
from the back of the neck. Worn by
the Mounted Police Musical Ride and
in parades, receptions of heads of
states Etc… CONDITION : NEW

A CANADIAN MARKED WWI British
Pattern 1908 CAVALRY TROOPER’S
SWORD. Made in 1915 by Wilkinson Sword
Co. This sword, CAVALRY Pat 1908 MKI*
is universally recognized as the finest
sword ever produced for the British and
Commonwealth troops. The Pattern 1908
is also the last pettern of sword to be
adopted by the British Army. The strong
and excellent blade is straight tapered
with a single fuller and has a thick ‘’T’’ cross
section. One side of ricasso is stamped ‘’X’’
and WILKINSON. The other side shows the
date: 10-15 (Oct. 1915) and an Enfield Armory
inspection stamp. The back of blade
is stamped ‘’C-Broad Arrow) denoting
Canadian Gvt. Property as well as P08
(Model number). The original buff piece
(sword stop) is present . Grips: DERMATINE,
a molded light red-brown colored plastic.
The guard and grip are both in excellent
condition. Guard: sheet steel bowl with
beaded edge, is stamped RCHA (ROYAL
CANADIAN HORSE ARTILLERY) and
numbers ‘’3’’ 4-20 (April 1920). The scabbard
is tapered sheet steel with two rings. The
mouth piece is stamped ‘’C-Broad Arrow’’
and R.C.H.A 348 ,as well as 2-21 Both the
sword and its scabbard are in excellent
condition. (FEB. 1921) and WSC (Wilkinson
Sword Co)-16.
