Sep.-19-1871. Sheath trigger. Unusual 4 shors cylinder (hence the name CLOVERLEAF) .41 centerfire caliber. Walnut grips. Made in 1915 by Wilkinson Sword Co. This sword, CAVALRY Pat 1908 MKI* is universally recognized as the finest sword ever produced for the British and Commonwealth troops. The Pattern 1908 is also the last pettern of sword to be adopted by the British Army. The strong and excellent blade is straight tapered with a single fuller and has a thick ‘’T’’ cross section. One side of ricasso is stamped ‘’X’’ and WILKINSON. The other side shows the date: 10-15 (Oct. 1915) and an Enfield Armory inspection stamp.
