Summer Camp at the - Issaquah School District
2nd-4th grade
Science Camps are for curious campers who want to
explore how things work and why. Coaches from Big
Brains Education Enrichment of Bellevue help young
scientists explore the wide world of science—from robots
and rockets to chemistry and submarines. With tons of
hands-on experiments, we’ll build, sink, zap, and crash
things all summer long!
Performing Arts Camp
Powered by Mercer Island’s own Youth Theatre Northwest, kids will
hone theater and life skills, gaining confidence both on and off stage.
Younger kids will use their imaginations, bodies, and voices in theater
games and adventures. Kids in grades 3-6 will work as an ensemble
to create a production complete with costumes, sets, and lights. Each
three-week session culminates in a performance for families, friends,
and fellow campers onstage at the J.

Adventure Camps
5th-8th grade
Join us on an adventure! Hike mountain trails, kayak down
winding rivers, improve your wilderness skills, and more. Each
camp takes kids on exciting outdoor journeys and teaches
them valuable life skills. From creative cooking to canoeing
fundamentals to surviving in the wilderness, these camps
make summer one big adventure.

Our Counselor in Training (CIT) program facilitates the transition
from camper to counselor. CITs plan programs, lead activities, and
help supervise campers. A combination of classroom learning and
time spent with campers helps teens gain a better understanding of
their strengths, develop valuable skills for
working with kids, become role models

Build relationships with our dynamic team of camp counselors, many of whom were SJCC campers themselves.
Participate in activities infused with Jewish culture that highlight the universal values of community, welcoming, and joy.
Gather together and create connections through games and songs at all-camp Shabbat celebrations every Friday
afternoon—often one of the campers’ favorite activities of the week (families are welcome).
Discover the world around them through fun, age-appropriate programs and weekly field trips to places such as Pump it
Up, Remlinger Farms, local beaches, Seattle Children’s Museum, Family Fun Center, Mariners games, and more—
SJCC campers do and see it all.
Swim, play outside, and have tons of fun every day!
Just for Kindergarten
Camp Katan is for our youngest campers experiencing camp for
the first time; it’s a great way to bridge the gap between pre-k and
elementary school. Katan campers will experience tons of fun
activities, including art, science, drama, cooking, storytelling, and
outdoor exploration. This intimate camp has our lowest camper-to
counselor ratio and features programs specifically designed with
our youngest in mind.
