The Awards Banquet will be held at the Bicentennial Indoor Pavilion located at
530 East 8680 South, Sandy, UT. Prime Rib, $10.00 per person plus a side dish to

2016.
Be sure to fill out the Awards Application also for titles/certificates your dog/s have
earned in 2015 and get the forms back to Catherine Beattie by Dec 31, 2015

All of our current classes are full and we do not hold classes in the month of December, so our
next class sign ups will be in the new year. Please keep your eye on our website for the date of
that class sign up. It MAY NOT be in January due to the remodel of the Armory.
Also important: A motion was made at the Sept Board Meeting to increase the class prices. The motion
passed with no opposed. So as of Jan 1, 2016 our training classes will be $85.00 for an 8 week course,
$75.00 for the 2nd dog in household or continuing classes.
It’s Renewal Time !!!!
I sent out the Renewal forms via email, you MUST fill out all info on the form and send back with your
dues (if owed) by Dec 31, 2015 By getting the form and dues back to us ASAP, it allows us to get the new
directories completed sooner and out to the membership. So PLEASE, even though the deadline is Dec 31,
2015, DO NOT wait until then to get it done. Do it NOW while it is fr esh on your mind. It r eally just
takes a few minutes to do. Thank you!!!!

For those of you that do not know, George & Dorathy Hart’s beloved havanese, Maverik is lost.
There is FaceBook page set up “Help Get Maverik Home” where all updates are placed.
Dear friends, tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/10/15) marks one month since Maverik was lost. We are devastated,
and people are still working very hard to Help Get Maverik Home. We need help in many other areas
(checking lost and found ads, looking at local shelters found animal sites on the web, emailing flyers to shelters, veterinarians and groomers, etc.). Can you give us a little of your time? We're not giving up...we are

earned. If the title earned is not on the abbreviation list, please write out the title name and the abbreviation. Also whether it is an
AKC, UKC, NAVHDA, etc title.

General Meeting minutes for Sept 2015 accepted as submitted. Allison 1st, Michelle 2nd, All in favor.
Nominating Committee took the floor for elections. Nominating committee included Donna Smith, Irene Lokcik and
Linda McLelland. Donna presented their slate for the 2016 open positions. Names in bold were voted in, others are
holdovers as their term is not up yet. Opened up nominations from the floor. None presented, so the presented slate
was voted on. All in favor we accept the presented slate and no one opposed, so slate passes. Below is our 2016 list
of Board Members and Directors. Past President Tom McLelland will hold a director seat as long as the new president is in office. Congratulations to All!!

Now we must form a new committee. The Audit Committee. Any volunteers? Rich Lokcik (CPA), Irene
Lokcik, and Linda McLelland all stepped up to the plate! Thank you! Since Rich is a CPA, we elect him to be Chairman of the Committee.
Executive Secretary’s Report:
Absent, but at Board meeting was working on 2016 judges.
Home Secretary's Report:
Renewals will be going out by Oct 30th. Dec 31st is the deadline to get renewals in.

From Judy Campbell: Boise, ID was pretty good to Lila and her Daddy Budha. Lila gained 11 points
towards her Grand Championship, leaving her just 4 points shy of it. We also tried our paws at Beginning
Novice Obedience. Both Lila and Budha earned 2 legs towards their title.
