News From Elena Wood,
As summer approaches, I know many of you will be traveling
and spending time with your family. Choir practice will
continue through the summer months and we invite you to
join us, even if you can't commit to coming every
week! Throughout the months I have spent directing the choir
I have grown to love and cherish our time together every
week. We talk, we laugh, we pray, and of course, sing, like the family God
intended us to be! Our summer schedule will be easy and laid back and is a
great time for you to dip your toe in the water!

Women on Mission
Women on Mission is a missions organization within
WMU for women (age 18 and up) through which
women pray for and give to missions, do missions,
learn about missions, and grow spiritually toward a missions
lifestyle!
The June W.O.M. project is to collect $10 Wal-mart Gift Cards
for children in the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. A $10 gift
card will feed one child for a week.

The regular Bimonthly business meeting was held on 11 May 2016. The meeting was
called to order by Rev. Gary Limbrick. There were 30 people present. The minutes from
the previous meeting was read and approved as read.
Treasurer’s Report – Mike Carter. Mr. Carter provided the Profit and Loss Statement
through April 2016. The church is currently in the black. A vote was taken to accept the
report provided by Mr. Carter.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Committee on Committees – Betty Bradshaw. The committee recommended Charles and
Beth Jones to work on the Youth Committee for one year. The motion passed.
Women’s Enrichment Committee – Cathy Limbrick. Ten people attended the Beth Moore
Conference and 24 people attended the Chonda Pearce concert.
Sunday School – Bootsie Bullock. Mar and April 2016 saw an average of 105 people in
Sunday School.

OLD BUSINESS –
At the last business meeting it was determined that additional information was required in
order to go forward with work on the fire doors located in the church. It was determined
that Professional Door does work on fire doors, Automatic Overhead Door company does
not. Due to the cost to refurbish the doors to make them code compliant, a decision was
made to work on the doors one a time. Quotes will be requested from Professional Door
and Apple Door Systems to bring the doors up to code.
The water pressure in the building has been poor. It was discovered that the water
pressure switch was bad. It has now been fixed.
NEW BUSINESS - There was no new business.
A motion was made by Bruce Sullivan and seconded by Carol Samuels to close the
meeting. Mike Carter closed the meeting in prayer.
