Objective The General objective of the project is the valorisation of cross-border cultural and archaeological heritage. This is to reinforce the competitiveness in the Tourism Market and to provide a better touristic image in international circuits. The planning of such features is fundamental for the valorisation of the heritage of the area. The project has created various heritage trails aimed for tourists and for educational purposes. Marketing plan and implementation Cross-border training seminars The project has involved students (both Maltese and Italian) from tertiary education who have been helped to participate in cross-border training seminars. In this way the expertise from both sides of the partnership has been passed on to others. Such beneficiaries included archaeology, tourism and cultural and heritage students and practitioners. Educational model and game with Roman children and their dog Participation in the Borsa Mediterranea del Turismo Archeologico in Paestum, Italy This three-day participation served to publicise and disseminate the project among an international audience and to introduce Malta and the Ragusa area as cultural tourism destinations. Maps and touch screen totems Various map designs have been prepared and printed including one for children, showing the main heritage features and sites on two heritage trails in Malta – one in Mosta and another one in Rabat-Mdina. The trails and other information are downloadable from touch screen totems.
