Repurposing Wood: Wooden Casting Forms become Art -a benefit for the Sacramento Tree Foundation's Urban
Wood Rescue Program.
Tecknikon, a company based at McClellan Business Park, came into
possession of wooden casting forms from foundries that had closed across
California. Four pallets of these forms, which were used to cast metal parts
for pipes, valves, grate covers, water fountains, etc., were donated to the Tree
Foundation. These forms have been repurposed into art.
A sample of the art created from these forms will be exhibited
and for sale at the Tree Heroes Award. The full exhibit will be at:
