WHEN OPERATING THE LAMP, PLEASE OBSERVE
THE FOLLOWING:
• Do not operate in small, closed spaces
• Distance between lens and combustible material must be
at least 0.5 metre
• Do not look directly into the bright light
WARNING!
Do not clean with liquid when the lamp is switched on and the
lens is hot as the lens may break.
CONNECTION OF BALLAST TO POWER SUPPLY
• The ballast generates high voltage. Do not touch the
connection lead to the xenon globe or other parts of the
ballast when turning the power on.
• Always use the ballast in combination with the D1S xenon
gas discharge globe.
• Adhere to maximum temperature requirements of the ballast.
• All power supply and charging systems must adhere to
the voltage limits specified.
• Use cables of 5mm² or larger are required for each lamp
to assure proper starting characteristics. The electrical
connection between the ballast and the battery must not
have an interior resistance exceeding 150 mOhms (12V)
or 300mOhms (24V).
• Do not start more than three ballasts at once. Another three
additional ballasts can be started after 20 seconds.
• The ballast is equipped with a ‘reverse polarity protection’
and will operate at correct connection only.

EXCHANGE OF D1S GLOBE
• Always switch off the work lamp ballast before exchanging
the D1S globe and disconnect from the power supply.
• Allow the xenon globe to cool off.
• Never touch the glass of the xenon globe, touch the xenon
globe at its base only. If required, use a clean cloth and
alcohol to remove fingerprints from the glass carefully.
• The glass body of the xenon globe is filled with various
gasses and metal vapours under pressure (danger of
splintering). Always wear safety goggles and gloves when
exchanging xenon globes.
• Dispose of used xenon globes as hazardous waste.
• Always use the ballast in combination with the D1S globe,
which is placed inside the closed work lamp.
• Connect the D1S globe securely in the connector.
Incomplete connection of the D1S globe can result in
damage to the product or other equipment, or electric shock.
• The ballast operation is stopped within 1 second of the
D1S globe disconnecting.
