interact, network and explore strategies for effective institutional change -- making our institutions more responsive to the needs of
underrepresented students. This year’s focus will be on how our higher education leadership is in many ways shaped by our core values -personal and professional commitments to improving student and community development. The schedule includes speakers, panels, a career

17th Annual National Capitol Forum on
Hispanic Higher Education
Westin Washington, D.C. City Center • Washington, D.C.
Each spring, advocates for the higher education success of the nation’s youngest and
largest population group gather in Washington, D.C., to shape and promote an
agenda for Congress and the country at the annual HACU Capitol Forum. Leaders,
administrators, students, and staff of HACU-member colleges and universities will
join public policymakers, key federal agency leaders, allied organizations, Hispanicserving school districts, and corporate, community and philanthropic representatives
at this powerful national platform for winning public- and private-sector support
for Hispanic higher education. Key to these strategic forums are annual visits to Capitol Hill, which allow leaders in the Hispanic higher
education community to interact directly with key members of the House and Senate.
