It flows 201 feet from Giant Springs into the Missouri River. Fun Facts There are three cows for every one person in Montana. Tourism is the 2nd largest (and fastest growing) industry in the state of Montana. Agriculture contributes more than $2 billion to Montana’s economy each year, making it the state’s biggest industry. Giant Springs is one of the largest freshwater springs in the U.S. It flows 156 million gallons each day. Montana’s rivers and streams provide water for three oceans & three of the North American continent’s major river basins. The longest river (2,341 total miles) in the state, and one of the longest rivers in the nation, is the Missouri River, which runs right through the heart of Great Falls. Riverside Railyard (located in Great Falls) is the largest skate park in Montana and is considered the top-ranked skate park in the Northwest. Great Falls Electric City Waterpark features the Flow Rider Wave Machine (one of only 16 in the United States.) Great Falls has the largest hospital in the state (Benefis Hea lt hca re) a nd one of Montana’s largest physician practices (Great Falls Clinic).
