FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH COVINGTON
CELEBRATE RECOVERY FOR ADULTS 18 AND UP
Celebrate Recovery is a ministry for everyone who desires to
develop life skills to handle the daily pressures of life. Have you
ever allowed the hurts, habits and hang-ups to get you down? If
so, then Celebrate Recovery is a place that can help you and your
family. How about giving God a chance to work through your
hurts, habits and hang-ups. We meet at FBC Covington every Tuesday night in the Worship
Center. Large group worship, lessons or testimonies meet from 7:00–8:00 and open share
small groups from 8:00–9:00, facilitated by some of God’s choice servants. Childcare for
birth through 5th graders is provided and children in the 6th – 12th grade can join us in The
Landing. Confidentiality is respected.
THE LANDING FOR STUDENTS 6th -12th GRADE
The Landing is a ministry where students are loved. It is one of the best gifts a parent, grandparent, guardian could give to their child. The students come just as they are to be equip to
make Godly choices that lead to a lifestyle that allows them to reach their full potential in this
life. We meet every Tuesday from 7:00–9:00 PM in Kids Worship. An orientation for parents,
grandparents and guardians is offered and confidentiality is respected.
VOLUNTEERS
If you are interested in serving in this ministry- greeters, door openers, cooks, encouragers
and share group facilitators are needed. We will get you trained so you will be equipped

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY ~ “UNRAVELED” ~ Wednesdays
at 10:00 AM in the Worship Center led by Martha Bailey.
No cost.
We are living in perilous times when our country seems to be
unraveling at the seams. But sometimes it hits closer to home.
Our personal lives are a mess and we feel powerless to control
them. Be encouraged as we study Jonah, Daniel and Esther to see when life gets tough
God IS still in control.
Sign up in the Steeple Foyer today or online for this
and other IU classes beginning September 13 & 16

A Campus of FBC Covington on Severn Avenue in Metairie provides a wonderful
opportunity to invite friends and family on the Southshore. The Campus Pastor
Jared Stacy and Worship Pastor Augi Hui have a heart and passion for Jesus
and His people. Please take time this week to pray for Metairie Church and our
Campus Pastors. Pray for the Holy Spirit to remove any walls that would keep
Metairie Church from reaching a city in need of a Savior. Pray for those who are already coming to grow in their faith and to reach out to others.
Are you new to FBC? Wondering what we’re all about but didn’t know who to ask?
Discovery Class is Sunday, September 27, from 5:00-7:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
Come and meet the staff, enjoy a light meal, and find the answers to your questions. You
can join the church at the class and find out all about our ministries and opportunities.
