The P368 model tool presetter is a precision instrument designed for speed
and simplicity in manufacturing environments or tool cribs.
The P368 has been carefully designed
to meet the needs of the NC machine
operator. It is used in the wood, metal,

Presetters
The P382N model is the result of our
pursuit of high technology while striving
to maintain simplicity of use. All steel
construction, rigidity, precision, repeatability, and reliability are all standard on
this high precision presetter.
Detail of Step Probe
The P382N is supplied standard with a
cone holder (ISO/CAT30, ISO/CAT40, or
ISO/CAT50) and a hardened step probe.
The ease of moving the two axes simultaneously with one hand and the notable rigidity of the instrument make the
presetter extremely simple, fast, and
precise in positioning the measuring
probe on the tool.
Spherical Track Probe
for Radius/Contoured Tools
(Optional)
A preloading system on the X and Z axes
always guarantees the same contact
force between the probe and the tool.
In the P382N TX version, the display is
provided with an RS232C serial line and
with software that allows the operator to
print labels with tool names.
The rotating cone holder is constructed
of tempered steel and is interchangeable for different types and sizes of
toolholders.

The P499 TC model is furnished with a
telecamera and a 4.7 inch black & white
monitor.
This model is also connected to a coordinate display with dedicated functions
for tool measurement and control and
features a tool storage memory.
The video camera display system
makes it possible to measure the tool
either with the fixed grid "profile projector type" or with the mobile grid which
follows the tool cutting edge and indicates the maximum radius and automatically measures radii and angles of
the inserts.
The arrows on the X and Z axes of the
monitor indicate the position for optimum tool measuring which avoids subjective operator decisions.

Holder Loading
Mount the Smart Tool-Setter on a
solid workbench. Use the 4 holes
provided on the base to bolt down
the Smart Tool-Setter.
Put holder in while handle is in
unlocked position. Rotate
handle to locked position to
lock holder on the “V” groove
located on the diameter of the
holder. Knob positively locks
the tool in and does not allow
tool to come out of place.

Pull the indexing knob to unlock, turn into a new position, and release the knob to lock.
Application
The Smart Tool-Setter's precise and heavy duty construction make
