tables and professional tailors’ dummies;
a laser cutter, a silicon taping machine, an
ultrasonic welder, a video conferencing suite, a
steam room and a heavy-duty extraction bed for
gluing neoprene and blind stitching machines.

making including 13 kilns, a digital printing suite,
a computer-controlled milling machine, rapid

Undergraduate courses
About Us
Satisfactorily completed secondary or high school
education including a creative arts subject and a portfolio
including a minimum of 20 pieces.
The equivalent to 260 UCAS tariff points. For country

Overall IELTS 5.0, with no less than IELTS 4.5 in each
band.
Foundation Art & Design
Satisfactorily completed secondary or high school
education including a creative arts subject and a portfolio
including a minimum of 20 pieces.

English language requirements for UAL Foundation and
IFAD have now changed. We can no longer accept a
range of tests if someone requires a Tier 4 visa. UKVI new
regulation now insists that applicants to courses below
degree level take an IELTS test at a UKVI approved test
centre only. Details online here: UKVI approved test centre

Postgraduate courses
We welcome applications from those with a good
undergraduate degree, or relevant equivalent experience,
and a demonstrable interest in the subject. If an applicant
has professional experience, this can sometimes be
substituted for traditional academic qualifications. This
experience should be current (gained within the last five
years) and should be equivalent to the learning outcomes
of our minimum entry qualifications.
Portfolio

Due to the creative nature of our courses, many of the subject areas
will require a portfolio as part of the application. What we expect in a
portfolio is described in our portfolio guide that is online at

There are three stages to the application process:

2. Complete a project
3. Have an online interview
*For International Foundation applicants please ensure
you have accepted your place, paid the acceptance fee and
applied for any relevant visas by the end of June 2015.
If students are offered a conditional place they will need their
qualifications confirmed in early June, no later, for their visas
to be processed in time to start in the UK on the 4 August.

Falmouth University offers students a
range of payment options.
About Us
Acceptance fee
Our Creative Courses
A non-refundable acceptance fee of £250 for EEA
nationals, £500 for non-visa nationals, and £1,000 for visa
nationals should be submitted with the acceptance of an
offer of a place at Falmouth University – the acceptance
fee is debited from the total tuition fee. (Visa nationals will
have their acceptance fee refunded if they fail to secure a
visa; we will require notification from the appropriate High
Commission.)
