2014 Pensacola International Billfish Tournament July 2-6 35th Annual Pensacola Ladies Billfish Tournament August 8-10, 2014 26th Annual Pensacola Junior Anglers Billfish Tournament June 13-14, 2014 Welcome to the 43rd Annual Celebration of the Pensacola International Billfish Tournament It’s almost 4th of July weekend on the gulf coast. That means one thing, the Pensacola International Billfish tournament is just around the corner. With warm summer days and calm gulf waters, we all look forward to sunburns and screaming drags. This year’s 43rd Annual Pensacola International will once again take place at the end of Palafox Street in Plaza DeLuna Park. With Palafox Street just being named one of the “top 10” streets in America, there is no other tournament atmosphere in the world like that of the Pensacola International. This year’s captains meeting will be hosted at Seville Quarter. We are pleased to announce that this year’s captains meeting will be held on Wednesday night (July 2) instead of Thursday night, like the previous few years. This change was made with hopes of letting both owners and crews of boats participate in the captains meeting/kickoff party and not having to rush to leave after the party. Boats may depart from ANY pass Thursday, July 3 at 4pm. Lines in at midnight. Weigh-ins will be Friday, July 4th and Saturday, July 5th (outside of Palafox Pier Marina by 8pm). Our unique weigh in location at Palafox Pier is a wonderful atmosphere for your family and friends to come wait for the arrival of the “Big Catch.” The weigh in will be complete with entertainment, vendors, souvenirs, and music to keep all ages happy. New for this year is $5,000.00 to the top catch and release angler. $50,000.00 is the pot for, “The Pensacola International Vince Whibbs Grand Slam In The Gulf.” We are also pleased again to offer the $5,000.00 guaranteed to the “Pensacola International Southern Fastening Systems Small Boat Champion.” Small boat is defined as any boat under 32’ and ANY sized outboard powered boat. We will also have the Optional Cash Awards that include the popular catch & release and meat fish categories. Offered again this year is the $10,000 award for the winning Blue Marlin. We want to thank those of you who have continued to support the Pensacola Big Game Fishing Club, without the support from local businesses and individuals we would not be able to operate. We also want to thank the anglers who have continued to “Fish the Tradition” for over 42 years, as well as welcome those new anglers. We would like to invite you to fish the “trio” of Pensacola Big Game Fishing club tournaments. The Pensacola Junior Angler, June 13-14 (Fathers Day Weekend) at Lost Key Marina. The International July 2-6, in downtown Pensacola. Last but not least the Pensacola Lady Anglers, August 8-10 at Lost Key Marina. Mark your calendars now and make plans to join us. We look forward to a great tournament season. Thank you again to everyone who helps make the International what it is today. Tight Lines and Screaming drags!!
