AREA INFORMATION
The City of Salmon Arm is situated at the most
southern point of the Shuswap Lake, in the heart
of beautiful British Columbia. Located on the
Trans Canada Highway midway between
Calgary and Vancouver (approximately 5 hours
drive to each). In addition, Salmon Arm is within
a 1-1/2 hour drive of two of the ThompsonOkanagan’s larger centres, Kamloops and
Kelowna.
Salmon Arm is one of British Columbia’s fastest
growing communities with a current population
in excess of 18,000 and is the commercial hub
of a fast-growing trading area in excess of
50,000, as well as the summer tourist population
which is estimated at 20,000 persons during
peak visitation times. Salmon Arm also provides

neighbouring communities in the Shuswap

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT PLANS
At the present time, Salmon Arm’s Downtown Core is seeing a significant transition with many of the older
