An application to receive the $6,000 loan from GRCA has been submitted. Hunt Test Committee: Donna Todd reported that the hunt test in April will be held at Pin Oak Kennels in Ravenna, TX (close to Bonham). There is still a shortage of water on other grounds. Pin Oak Kennels has wells and pumps to keep their ponds full. The Metro Alliance Retriever Club will be holding a hunt test at the same time. We will have Junior and Senior on Saturday, and our WC/ WCX on Sunday. MARC will start a Master on Saturday, and have a Junior and Senior on Sunday. This has all been approved by AKC. March Specialty Committee: Kathy Felix said everything is falling into place for the specialty. She has a list of trophies for people to sign up for donations. Dawn Morrill reminded everyone of the raffle and asked for donations. No further reports were given. Charities: Rita asked if we are still going to support charities this year. If so, she would like to nominate: The GRCA Foundation and Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund. She said Smiling Blue Skies is a cancer research organization in Canada that does great work. Anna Curry asked if Rita would put the information on the Yahoo discussion group to give further information about the organization. There was a discussion about the lack of participation in the photo contest. It was decided that we will promote it better for next year’s awards banquet.
