Break Away Fittings (BAF)
Barnes break away fittings allow pump installation and removal
without wet well entry or piping disconnection. Break away fittings
provide easy access to all Barnes 1 1/4” (32mm) thru 8” (200mm)
submersible pumps; units may be adapted for other submersibles
with similar discharge sizes. Available in non-sparking design.
Control Panels • Indoor/Outdoor High Water Alarms
A variety of remote alarms with warning lights
and/or annunciators for indoor or outdoor use
may be specified. Require 120v power supply.
The pump monitor relay provides motor over
temperature alarm and seal leakage alarm for
submersible pumps.

1. Flexible Inlet Pipe Fittings
The flexible pipe fitting is super tough for weather and corrosion
resistance. The fitting has superior vapor and water leakproof
sealing ability. Available 1¼" thru 6".

3. Inlet Hubs
Cast iron inlet hubs are recommended for cast iron, ceramic,
plastic or ductile iron gravity sewer pipe, and are designed to fit
curvature of basin. 4”, 6” and 8”.

4. Electrical Conduit Hubs
Bolt-on hub, constructed of glass filled nylon. 1.25”, 1.50”, 2” NPT.
5. Discharge Couplings
Stainless steel bolt-on couplings available in 1¼", 1½", 2", and 2½"
NPT sizes.
6. Bulkhead Fitting
Safety lock design permits safe, quick pipe connection. Fitting
comes standard with heavy duty buttress threads to help
prevent leaks under pressure. 1.25” NPT.

7. “C” Channel Guide Rails
Rail mounts to the upper and lower horizontal brackets, attached
to the basin wall. The rail rests on the bottom of the basin floor,
supporting the pump and the required distance from the basin
floor. Guide brackets are attached to the pump for positioning of
the unit on the guide rail during installation and removal.1.25”
and 2” NPT.

8. True Union Ball Valves
Manufactured of Sch. 80 PVC type I with EPDM o-rings for
superior chemical and corrosion resistance. 1.25” & 2.00” NPT ball
valves are of quick disconnect design with full port bore, ¼ turn
leak tight shut-off and NSF listed for use in water service.

9. Ball Check Valve
1.25”, 1.50” and 2.00” NPT are available in cast iron or PVC. Works
both vertically and horizontal. Ball has sufficient weight to seat
tightly and moves freely to open. Head loss is low as the ball is
set completely to one side at the maximum rate of flow.

10. Swing Check Valve
Made of high impact Sch. 40 PVC type II material, suitable in
systems where fluid is corrosive or contains debris, industrial
waste disposal, sewage, etc. The EPDM swing gate lifts to provide
unobstructed flow. 1.25” through 2.00” NPT.

13. Adapter Kits
Prosser adapter kits allow for operation where the discharge of
one pump is directly connected to the suction of another. The
same small diameter casing can be utilized while effectively

14. Lifting Hoist
Designed to be moved from pump station to pump station, to
raise and lower submersible grinder or effluent pumps.
15. Mushroom strainers
Prosser mushroom strainers pump water levels down to within
1/4” of level floor. (available with .75hp and 1.0hp pumps)
16. Sludge strainers
Prosser strainers are constructed of 300 series stainless steel.
Strainer kits include, strainer, and mounting hardware.

17. Nema 4 watertight control & dual level control
The combination pump and dual float level control is in a Prosser
NEMA 4 watertight enclosure with manual on-off switch, circuit
breaker with short circuit and overload protection, magnetic
contactor, transformer to reduce line voltage to 24 volt, two level
sensing float switches with cable and float override switch for
manual operation.

18. Level controls, wide angle, pipe mounted
Level controls are available in pipe mounted configuration with a
115 volt molded on male and female piggy-back plug w/ ground.
Cable lengths are of 15 (5M), 25 (8M), 30 (9M) and 50 feet (15M).
The unit has a piggy-back plug attached to the cord, allowing
the user to plug the pump plug directly into it, and then plug the
entire unit into a 115 volt or 230 volt grounded outlet.
