HydroTac ® The hydroactive wound dressing that keeps dry wounds moist, and moist wounds dry. Wound Management ® HydroTac Keeps Dry And Exuding Wounds In Balance For Fast, Gentle And Effective Healing We Understand The Challenges There are many challenges in treating chronic wounds. Excessive wound exudate often disturbs granulation and enhances the risk of exudate accumulation that can lead to serious wound infection and labor-intensive treatment. On the other hand, dry wounds often restrict cell efficiency that can often slow, and even stop, healing. Whether you’re confronted with a dry or exuding wound, HydroTac, the new hydroactive wound dressing from HARTMANN, ensures an appropriate moist wound environment. The absorbing foam removes excessive wound exudate fast, while the innovative AquaClear® technology keeps dry wounds sufficiently moist. In either case, HydroTac’s unique construction protects the skin and reduces the risk of maceration. Protects Wound From Bacteria Easy. Uncomplicated. Hygienic. HydroTac is applied to the wound easily and hygienically. The “Initial Tack” feature allows the dressing to remain securely in place during application. The side facing away from the wound has a moisture and bacteria-proof film backing that provides protection and safety for patient and user. The high moisture vapor permeability of the film handles all levels of exudate. In case of higher exudate absorption, more moisture vapor is released. In case of lower exudate absorption, less moisture vapor is released. ® HydroTac Keeps Moist Wounds Dry Easily, Comfortably And Effectively Exuding Wounds Need Attention Chronic wounds must be cleaned of slough and necrotic tissue. But after cleansing, complications in the wound healing process may occur, so attention and care remain crucial. Excessive wound exudate may disrupt granulation and accumulation of exudate and may promote infection. However, heavily absorbing foam dressings may not be the best choice as they could dry out the wound, possibly promoting infection that could require longer and more intensive treatment. The top polyurethane layer protects against bacteria and moisture. Because of high moisture vapor permeability, the exudate absorption is adapted to the corresponding wound environment. HydroTac’s net-shaped structure, coated with a hydrogel, absorbs excessive exudate. Protects Against Bacteria And Optimizes Hygiene Designed with a net-shaped structure and coated with a hydrogel on the wound-facing side, HydroTac allows excessive exudate to absorb quickly without drying out the wound. This process is supported by a moisture and bacteria-proof film backing, that also helps ensure high moisture vapor permeability through which exudate is absorbed and evaporated. This film not only provides effective protection against bacteria, it ensures hygienic protection. Clinicians appreciate its user-friendly handling, facilitated by the slight adherence of the hydrogel layer on the skin. This “Initial Tack” ensures quick and easy application - right from the start. Exudate-Retaining Foam The hydrophilic foam made of polyurethane absorbs excessive wound exudate effectively and locks it away. ® HydroTac Keeps Dry Wounds Moist Utilizing HARTMANN’s AquaClear Technology ® Hydroactive Technology And Virtually Painless To Remove HARTMANN’s AquaClear technology keeps dry wounds moist so granulation and epithelialization progress. A hydrogel applied to the wound-contact side releases moisture to the wound as needed - counteracting the incidence of a wound drying out. This moist gel layer also prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound and allows for more comfortable removal - ideal for pain-sensitive patients. HydroTac is also available with an adhesive border made of a thin film and superior hypoallergenic adhesive properties for patient comfort. The hydrogel layer releases moisture to strengthen the wound environment also making HydroTac virtually painless to remove. Releases Necessary Moisture In Dry Wounds Utilizing HARTMANN’s AquaClear technology, a hydroactive gel releases moisture to dry wounds to maintain and strengthen the wound environment. The moist hydrogel layer means HydroTac will not stick to the wound and makes removal virtually painless. Moisturizing Hydrogel Relatively dry wounds are provided with moisture, due to the net-shaped hydrogel applied on the side facing towards the wound. ® Reach For HydroTac For These Wound Healing Benefits Practical: The “Initial Tack” feature makes HydroTac easy to apply and suitable for dry and exuding wounds.
