Founded in 1962 with a view to highlight the importance of nutrition in maintenance of health, and in prevention and treatment of diseases. IDA is a member of International Confederation of Dietetic Associations (ICDA). IDA has 23 chapters in different cities/ states with more than 15000 life memberships currently. Members include academicians, clinical dieticians, nutritionists and students. IDA, Mumbai chapter is the largest chapter with 1700 life members. Traditionally, each year Indian Dietetics Associations holds the annual national conference in different cities. In 2016, the annual national conference (IDACON) will be hosted by Mumbai chapter in Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai. We expect participation of 1500 plus delegates across the nation. Objectives The objective of this conference is to enable the stakeholders to join hands together for the progressive growth and development in areas of research, academic enrichment and industrial growth. The knowledge dissemination remains the key areas of interest. This conference aims to provide an opportunity to network and interact with various representatives of institutions along, with other stakeholders from Private sector, medical professionals, R&D to further improvise the find answers to the health challenges in this country, including the prevention and treatment of diseases. The meeting brings together the leading players in the field of dietetics and nutrition from renowned speakers, researchers, clinicians, educators, registered dieticians and practitioners. This conference will discuss issues such as critical care, metabolic diseases, public health and community nutrition, lifestyle, wellness and fitness issues, sports nutrition, cosmetic nutrition, weight related concerns, functional foods, nutrigenomics and some unexplored newer areas. It is one of the best ways to collaborate with maximum visibility to all attendees. The objective of the symposium is to cover a specific subject with the participation of speakers. The scientific programme of the sponsored symposium, including title, topics, lecture and names of speakers must be submitted to the organizing committee for approval .The registration, travel and accommodation of the national / international faculty invited by the sponsor will be the sponsor’s responsibility. Company advertisements and satchel inserts are subject to approval from the Conference Organising Committee. All sponsorship / exhibition packages are exclusive of Service Tax as applicable. Payment Terms – To secure a pencil booking , a non-refundable deposit of 10 % must be paid within 15 working days of a pencil booking being agreed. The remaining 50% will be invoiced in April 2016 and must be paid in full no later than 15th June 2016 To Confirm Sponsorship Should you wish to confirm sponsorship, please return the completed Acceptance Form to Ms Naaznin Husein/ Ms Ruby Sound. On receipt of the deposit payment, a confirmation letter will be given. Allocation Sponsorship and exhibition packages, which may be limited in number, will be generally allocated to those organisations/ companies who apply earliest. Allocation of sponsorship packages and stalls is at the discretion of the IDACON 2016 Organising Committee whose decision will be final. Cancellation Policy Once an Acceptance Form has been received, any cancellation must be advised in writing to IDACON 2016 Organising Committee. If the cancellation is received up to 2 months before the event an administration fee of 75% of the total amount is retained. If the cancellation is received less than 1 month prior, no refund is applicable. Exceptional Circumstances The IDACON 2016 Organising Committee reserves the right to change the venue and duration if exceptional circumstances demand. In the event of a change of venue and/or duration, the agreement to participate will remain in force as long as the sponsor/exhibitor is informed at least one month before the planned conference. The sponsor / exhibitor will acknowledge that the IDACON 2016 Organising Committee and venue will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the sponsor’s / exhibitor’s property and that all exhibitor material and equipment is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. The sponsor/exhibitor agrees to participate at its own risk. Venue The sponsor/exhibitor and invitees of the sponsor/exhibitor are also to observe the rules, regulations and procedures as prescribed by the venue.
