The Visa Global Merchant Offer Program provides you with a simple, cost-effective way to deliver
added value to your cardholders, drive international transactions and increase customer loyalty.
The Opportunity
People of all nationalities are traveling outside their home country more frequently, heading in a
dizzying array of directions and spending more than ever. In 2012, there were a record 1 billion
international arrivals while expenditures exceeded US$1.2 trillion1. According to the UNWTO,
international arrivals are expected to grow 3–4%2 in 2013 and over 5%3 in 2014.
New Concept, Sharper Focus
The 2014 Visa Global Merchant Offer Program has been reconfigured to focus on six to 10 merchants
in each of the 15 key cities where Visa cross-border spending ranks high. It targets the four key
touch points of spending — retail, dining, travel and entertainment — where Visa cardholders
use their cards most. In addition, there are Multi-city offers for hotels, car rentals and others in
scores of destinations across the globe. Now you can provide an attractive collection of offers for
your cardholders to encourage spending at popular destinations around the world. Finally for the
cardholder eager to shop from the comfort of their home, there are a wide variety of e-commerce
offers to bring the merchant straight to your door.
