For children 5 years and under whose parents/carers do not have appropriate adult tickets, admission charges will apply by paying on the door. VAT Reg: 878 4532 77 £1 Festival Patrons Martin Carthy MBE and Show of Hands Sidmouth Town Council Sidmouth Hotels Sidmouth Children’s Festival Programme Welcome to the Sidmouth FolkWeek Children’s Festival! Things are really hotting up for this year’s festival with a huge array of workshops, activities, entertainment, shows and special performances. Our Family Evening Shows this year are a real treat for everyone with a puppet show, clown show, story evening, family concerts, and to round it all off this year we are holding a Stomping Ceilidh in the Blackmore Marquee. The ceilidh will feature the amazing Sidmouth Seaside Stompers (children’s ceilidh band) led by Ray Langton and team Stompit! with special guests, calling by Martyn Harvey and specially added ‘sparkle’ to the event so dress to be seen and join in the ceilidh fun! As always there is an amazing choice of workshops and activities for different age groups; Over 8s, 6-7 yrs and under 5s all have their own specially organised events, so make sure you study the programme carefully so you don’t miss out on any of the goodies on offer. By far the most cost effective way of enabling children to access all that is on offer is to purchase a week’s season ticket, which gives access to several workshops/activities per day as well as free entry to all the Family Evening Shows (adults accompanying children with season tickets will be charged at the family rate for evening shows). If you have some time on your hands you can always relax in Blackmore Gardens and listen to our wonderful Young Performers’ Showcases, watch Morris Dancing, listen to music and generally relax! Ray and Bev Langton, Children’s Festival Producers A CHILD’S WEEK TICKET IS GREAT VALUE A Child’s Week Ticket provides priority admission to all children’s workshops and family events (space permitting) and priced at £54.00 represents excellent value for money. Child (6-11) tickets allow entry to all events as for Adult tickets except for the Bulverton Late Night events after 10.30 pm. Some workshops for 8 years and over are marked with *** and are progressive workshops leading to a final performance/showcase. Priority to these events will be given to children who have attended previous sessions. FolkWeek Children’s Festival events are supported by Sidmouth Town Council.
