the experience of a lifetime!
JUNE 7th
The nightly concerts on the Vault Concert Stages at LP Field during CMA Music Festival will
start offering individual tickets Saturday featuring such artists as Alan Jackson,
Miranda Lambert, Josh Turner, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.
The CMA Music Festival will be Thursday through Sunday, June 5-8, in Nashville.
Beginning Saturday, April 26, at 10 a.m., tickets to the concerts will go on sale for $40
for reserved seats on the lower and club levels and $30 for general admission in the upper
deck of LP Field.
“The single night concert ticket option has been extremely popular with our local fans as
well as those who are unable to attend all four days,” said Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief
Executive Officer. “An outstanding night of music for an unbelievably low price is the
perfect way to spend a summer evening with friends and family in Nashville.”

England
December 2007
Orlando, Florida — October, 21 2007
Alright, so I didn’t discover Alan Jackson and his music until 2003 — I know what you are
thinking, this woman is completely mad but in mitigation I am English and live 4,500 miles
away from Music City, GAC and CMT (Those 2 stations are missing a trick not
broadcasting here — but that’s another story) but, oh boy, have I made up for it since. I have
all of Alan’s CDs and all the other artists’ CDs he has appeared on. They are all on my iPod
and it totals 179 songs and I know all the words just like all the other fans! (At least I think I
have them all — anyone challenge the total???)
I was privileged enough to see Alan perform “Like Red on a Rose” at the 2006 CMA
Awards and it made me determined to come back to America and see Alan in concert.
Thanks to Cindy and the Fan Club I had preferred seating for the Orlando concert in
October. I flew into Orlando the day before the concert and there was a terrific
thunderstorm on the night but it didn’t deter the thousands of Alan’s fan arriving at the
University of Florida Arena to see Jake Owens, Brooks and Dunn and Alan! Jake started
the show and had everyone yelling “Yee Haw” at the top of their voices shortly followed by
Brooks and Dunn who put on a spectacular show — I really like “Proud of the House We
Built.” Then it was Alan’s entrance — the crowd were ecstatic — he began a set of 14
songs that just had the audience in raptures.
We all sang along with “Remember When,” “Livin’ on Love,” “Chattahoochee” and all the
other well-loved numbers. It was awesome — the quality of Alan’s voice never faltered as
one song led to another. There were no distractions, the music just sang for itself. The
Strayhorns were brilliant and everyone, both on stage and off were enjoying themselves
immensely.
All too soon it was over and I floated back to my hotel a foot above the floor!
Luckily for me I’d managed to change my flights at the last minute so I could get up to
Nashville to see Alan at the Opry 3 days later. A completely different venue and audience
but still everyone was awestruck by Alan’s delivery and obvious enjoyment.
Those 3 days started my personal 3 week Country Music fest where I got to see 53
different artists at the concert, the Opry and the 2007 CMA Awards, but I have to say Alan
outshone them all. I was reminded of Alan’s acceptance speech for the 2002 CMA Award
Entertainer of the Year when he said “There’s probably people who are a little more exciting
on stage, but I just walk out there and sing.” Yep, I agree with that and I, for one of his fans,
am thankful that he does. The songs that Alan writes are inspired and full of the whole
range of human emotions so his style of delivery is just perfect. God Bless you Alan, keep
doing what you are doing — it floats my boat!
Thanks to Cindy and the Fan Club for helping me realise my dream and I am saving my
pennies for next year – watch out Nashville I will be back!

HEY
Y’ALL
Happy Spring! Didn’t I tell you Good Time was awesome!?
I still haven’t picked a favorite. I think right now my favorite is
“Good Time.” I’m so excited to start hearing it on the radio. I
think it will be the summer’s biggest hit! Thanks for all your
letters and emails about Good Time. Alan truly appreciates
hearing from all of you!
Hope you’ve been able to check out the new website.
We’ve added a new AJ radio on the home page which is
fun to listen to while you’re on the computer. Also we’ve
added a more detailed email list. We’re asking everybody
to sign in and update their info, including city, state, etc.
This will enable us to know who we’re sending emails to
and maybe target certain areas or demographics better.
And as always, we never sell or lend our mailing list (snail
or email) to anybody. We rarely send emails that aren’t
directly related to Alan. But when we do, we’re given the
emails to send.
I was finally able to go through the photos we received for
the 50 States Photo Contest. We received 100s of photos,
which were fun to see. Unfortunately we weren’t able to
use some of them because they were too dark or too far
back. But there were several states that we didn’t receive
any photos! So please dig out your scrapbooks and send
more photos (see page 9 for more info). Once we get all of
them together, this will be a great collection!
We’re looking forward to seeing everybody at CMA Music
Fest this year! Abby will be heading up the booth this year,
as I have a trip planned that I couldn’t reschedule. Be sure to
stop by the booth and say “HI!” I will sure miss seeing
everybody this year. Alan will be performing at LP Field on
Saturday, June 7th. So if you can’t make for the full 4-day
event, hope you can at least make if for his night!
