McKinley Sizemore Pg 1/14 Born: 11 Jun 1897 Married: 11 Sep 1924 Maggie Vaughn Died: 20 May 1980 Church Hill, TN Parents: John B Sizemore & Samanthy Livesay McKinley Sizemore lived in Church Hill, TN on a 40 acre farm. James Benny Sizemore lived with his Uncle “Mack” for several years. Mack and his wife, Maggie, never had any children and the farm was left to James and his heirs. Mack served in WWI (see info) Besides being a farmer and raising tobacco, Mack was a trustee for many years of the Hoston Electric Cooperative. This is the home Mack and Maggie Sizemore lived in and is located in Church Hill, TN. Pg 2/14 Above picture taken at Easter, 1960. Possible reason: Armistice signed 11 Nov 1918, one month after the 307th was formed. AUXILIARY REMOUNT DEPOT STATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES DURING WWI Auxiliary Remount Depot No. 307 Remount Depot 307: Shown with a total strength of 18 officers and 650 men on November 2, 1918. http://www.schistory.net/campwadsworth/unitsbase.html The function of the depot consists chiefly of receiving, issuing, shipping and care of animals of the army; and the training of soldiers in the lines of work connected therewith, such as wagon and pack transportation, horseshoeing, duties of stable sergeants, farriers and saddles. The barracks, mess halls, office buildings, officers quarters, warehouses, horseshoers’ school, etc., compose one group, the stables and corrals of the wagon company, the riding horses, the Veterinary Corps, and the pack train compose another group; while the veterinary hospital with their corrals and the large corrals comprise the third and largest group.
