The customer was looking for a reliable partner to completely take over the design and implementation of the new data analysis software. Comtrade could provide the necessary capacity and technology expertise with solid domain knowledge and take the challenge. Comtrade analyzed the complete set of requirements, current data analysis software with the corresponding file format, and performed a number of technical discussions with the customer. Comtrade also worked at the same time on architecture and design of the solution. After the study a new, improved file format was devised that was much faster, reliable, and stable. Its main features are: support for synchronous and asynchronous data, support for statistical data, support for custom (user defined) data, new data created in the analysis mode can be added very simple, as well as recovery and checksum. CHALLENGE The requirements for a new data analysis software and file format were mainly driven by the study of the existing data analysis software. The complete solution is based on boost technology, supporting 32/64 bit Windows or Linux operations systems. The solution had to be faster than the current solution and had to provide more stability and features.
