Press Release - Lux Eye
For Immediate Release For: " Luxury Eyesight " 3800 N. Clark St. " Chicago, IL 60613 " (773) 977-7676 " facebook.com/Luxuryeyesight " @LuxuryEyesight Contact: Lisa Lubin LLmedia.co " Lisa@LLmedia.co (Chicago, IL—February 15, 2014) As the snow finally melts, Luxury Eyesight is looking toward the spring with new styles from their exclusive designers. “We carry some of the best eyewear brands in the world,” says owner Ryan La Sasso. “We only sell independently-owned frames that are handcrafted in places like Japan, Germany, and France. Nothing is mass-produced.” The Luxury Eyesight boutique in Lakeview carries the cream of the crop when it comes to eyewear. Celebrities like Madonna, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Rock, and Jennifer Garner all wear the same glasses sold here. Their brands are truly known as the best in the world. “The only thing better is if Elton John approached one of our designers like Gold and Wood and asked for a more customized style specifically for him,” says La Sasso. There is no caliber higher.” Luxury Eyesight is one of only two shops in Chicago that sells Gold & Wood and MATSUDA brands. Some current, exclusive designers available at Chicago's Luxury Eyesight: • Gold & Wood: These frames are handmade in Luxembourg and are known for exotic materials like precious metals, exotic woods, and buffalo horn. Gold & Wood is coming out with new styles for 2014 with additional color in their wood pieces such as plum and azure that really lighten up the collection as well as emphasize the true beauty of the natural woods. Luxury Eyesight currently carries a very special edition silk frame - it is one of only 200 in the world. It retails for $900. • Matsuda: Their process begins with only the best materials and ends with forms that can be admired for a lifetime. Japanese craftsmanship, with its unique heritage of combining handcrafted techniques and innovative technology, is unmistakable in every piece of MATSUDA eyewear (the namesake of Mitsuhiro Matsuda, one of the preeminent fashion designers in Japan). A stand out is their solid sterling silver frame (retails $1600). Luxury Eyesight is the only authorized store in the world selling MATSUDA online. • ic! berlin: Handcrafted in Germany, ic! Berlin is known for being made from indestructible 0.5mm sheet metal with a patented screw-less hinge design. ic! berlin is bringing some beautiful new spring colors to their collection this year like electric magenta, electric turquoise, purple, and light blue; also new acetate models with colorful layered plastic pieces. • Face á Face: Handmade in Paris and known for its colorful high quality acetate (plastics) and titanium, Face á Face has offers a little bit more of a funk and style. The 2014 collection has an artistic flair that draws inspiration from modern and street art, and includes elements from the punk and sixties generations. This eyewear is exclusive and you can’t just get it anywhere, nor does it have logos or insignias all over the frames. “These companies aren’t trying to make a statement,” says La Sasso. “The eyewear itself is the statement.” The Luxury Eyesight boutique on Clark Street is as fun and stylish as its brands. “When you come to our store, it’s not like you are not going to the "eye doctor," you are going to a eyewear showroom to pick out your new look, get corrective lenses for your vision, and have fun doing it,” says La Sasso. “It’s not just because you NEED glasses, it’s because you want to have the best eyewear in the world. Glasses are a necessity, eyewear is a choice.” About Luxury Eyesight Luxury Eyesight is an independently owned eyewear boutique and showroom in the heart of Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
