Darpan-1st News letter - Safal Solutions Pvt Ltd
FROM CEO’s DESK S afal Solutions started in 2002 and Saral Services was launched in 2005. One of the biggest achievement of Safal and Saral has been converting a large number (more than 50) of MCA and BE graduates into experienced developers, testers and project management leaders. All of them joined us as fresher, gained experience and jumped like hare to more paying companies. We also converted more than 60 rural youths who had barely completed their graduation and trained them and deployed them as an important bolt in ITS industry. Half of them are with us. Hence we have added positive values in the lives of more than 150 individuals. They are happy, as some Safal - Saral Quarterly News Letter W hy Dar pan? Darpan? The purpose of the newsletter is to foster meaningful dialogue among Safal and Saral employees who are working in different states of India, as well as serve as a crossroads of information regarding issues affecting our organisations. There were gains too. Small size Not for profit organizations such as Center for People Forestary, Centre for Microfinance and Livelihood, Pradan, Udyogini could managed to get quality software at affordable price. We have worked successfully for large Livelihood projects, namely Jeevika in Bihar and Aajeevika in Uttranchal and supported their monitoring systems to monitor their p r o g r a m effectively for more than three years. We helped Arohan when it was at the nascent stage of development; our software has contributed in their growth and helped them bag Award of transparency. Deepak Foundation bagged e-Health 2010 award for the MIS that we developed for tracking health services to pregnant women. Sheffield Hallam University bagged Manthan Award 2009, for eKheti mobile based application, developed by us. Last but not the least, I too was given Indira Gandhi Sadbhawana Award 2008 for socially concerned works. We have been able to start some Tortoise Dares to Dream are with more paying companies ( they are not with us, jumped like hare) or some who are with us, experiencing challenges, fast track learning and calm life of a tortoise, knowing, one day, tortoise will win. There are pains of moving slow. Clients complain that we are not getting more clients and putting all cost onto them. Some client in the process moved to bigger size technology providers. It becomes hard to negotiate with outgoing staff to retain. We do not invest sufficiently in infrastructure so that working place can be improved. There has been a moment when salary was paid after a week. With this pain still tortoise moves on.......as we are committed to our goal of enabling the society with the power of Information Technology. innovative activities that have far reaching impact on society. Some of them are: 1) IT enabling elementary Quality Education in Nalanda (Bihar) and Ranga Reddy District (AP), 2) Training of rural youths in IT and ITS skill, 3) Web based application for Self Help Groups (SHG) and Village Organization (VO) that runs on Atom based laptop, 4) Mobile (Nokia N73) based Agriculture Advisory systems, 5) Rural Employment Exchange, 6) Rural Tourism, 7) Loan tracking systems for Micro Finance Institutions, 8) Tracking of health services and impact on pregnant women, 9) Tracking of plan and achievement for organizations engaged in livelihood promotion and capacity building in rural area and 10) Participatory method of software development and deployment. Efforts are required to deepen them Efforts are required to deepen innovative activities we have started in terms of working with more number of clients and documentation of the knowledge that we have acquired over a period of 9 years in terms of working with more number of clients and documentation of the knowledge that we have acquired over a period of 9 years. 1 Major Milestones G5 & G10 Safal ♦ We have bagged project order from Centre for People’s Forestry ♦ We have got a new client, Centre for Microfinance and Livelihood in North-East India ♦ We have got the E-Gram project from BRLPS ♦ We have got VO MIS project from BRLPS ♦ We have been shortlisted for TRIPTI, another world bank supported rural livelihood project in Orissa ♦ We have constituted a dedicated marketing team for coming years Saral ♦ We have started our project in Mission Nalanda in Bihar, which is working with elementary schools and providing the training in computers to improve the quality of education ♦ We have started 10th batch of ITFTs and candidates for the next batch are under process F or every organisation to grow responsibilities and accountability has to be tightened and decentralised and communication channels has to be defined Keeping this in mind we have constituted a body Group 5 which comprises 5 senior employees of Safal and Saral. The responsibility of this group is prepare, review, take preventive and corrective actions which are required to meet our annual objectives. G5 is the decision making body of both Safal and Saral. G5 meeting is scheduled to happen once in a week. Now the question of execution surfaces, to address that we have constituted Group-10 which comprises 5 more seniors apart from the existing G5 members. Their responsibilites are to implement the strategies, streamline the communication between G5 and rest of the employees, ensure ontime delivery, provide inputs to G5 for improving overall performance. G10 meetings are scheduled once in a month. ♦ We provided our QCAT services and ITFT for Deepak Foundation who one the ‘e-Health award 2010’ ♦ We have been shortlisted for the final round of ‘Re- From the newsletter team ♦ One of our ITFT has given training on SafalFIN2 We also wish to include poetry, opinion pieces, essays, columns, and any other writing pieces that people wish to contribute. We strongly encourage employees to submit writing pieces to the newsletter. source Alliance-Rockfeller Foundation’s ‘India NGO of the Year’ in 2009. for Child Fund India’s partner NGOs in Ranchi ♦ We were the co-organisers for the workshop on ‘ICT and Rural Development in Bihar’, which held in ADRI, Patna .....continued from page 1 Yet there are some more gains. We are collectively now feeling that we have to move faster, we have to believe strongly in “If a work is to complete by tomorrow, let us do it today and do now for works assigned for today.” We need to deliver to the client a day before the schedule date and work with quality. While we are the place of attraction for fresh graduate, we need to hold some experienced souls as well. Therefore we need to be ready to pay higher salary. We need to introduce tighter monitoring system that is regularly monitored. We are now prepared to accept brighter and fast mover. Several times we have analysed the 2 Mamatha, Umesh & Haridas - Newsletter Team reason for this slow growth. They are a) we are not building asset (our work not deepening), we not investing on our software and implementation artefacts. Therefore our return to asset is poor. Experienced staff are our asset and we are not able to hold on them. Our documentation needs lot of improvement. b) Marketing and c) lack of liquid capital. Hoping that Tortoise will win, should not remain merely a hope. Tortoise may starve and die, if mind is not applied and therefore, steady move in the approach is must. Slow pace may engulf the tortoise itself. If we really want to move faster if not jump, changes are required. We need to take hard decisions. We need minimum of ten senior staff as strong legs of the tortoise to carry the Safal Solutions and Saral Services forward. By 2012, we will certainly cross 200 lakh mark from 2 lakh in 2002-03. Time has come to set the target higher and aim to achieve 100 crore of annual turnover by 2022 and say like Obama “We can”. In the line of Netaji I would like to say, “Give me ten committed souls and I will ensure you by achieving the target with 100 percent guarantee.” No magic, No one will even surprise as tortoise does win at the end. Subodh Gupta MD, Safal Solutions Looking back, To walk forward.. I was born in Jamshedpur of Jharkhnd state in the year 1981.I belong to a small family comprising of my parents and two sisters. I have done graduation from Andhra University in computer science and PG Diploma in Web Design from Vizag. My journey from there was also with crests and troughs like any common man of our country. I started my career as an office assistant in a small internet cafe while I was preparing for my final year graduation examination. I became the office in charge after 3 months. The same internet cafe became a web site development company with some US clients. With their advice I had completed a PGDWD and my graduation. It was my dream to work for that company in website development. From that experience I realised that more can be done if I knew scripting languages. I came to Hyderabad leaving my family in Vizag with the urge to learn scripting. That journey ended at LAMP institute. After completing the course from LAMP, I came to know that there is a vacancy in Safal Solutions. I decided to try my luck and the luck was with me. I joined with Safal on 16th March 2007. Another phase of my life starts from that day. I joined here as developer. The first task on the very first day was to design the home page for MEAL. I received appreciation from my seniors and colleagues. Then my assignment was of creating user manuals in flash with animation. Yes you are right, I had some bad feelings in the beginning when I started working on the user manual. The question Is this the kind of work I expected from Safal? surfaced to my mind many times. I consoled myself saying any work is precious if I put my heart and soul into it. The appreciation followed and I was given the responsibility of joint anchor for Srijan HR project along with Khanindra. That was the most memorable moment of my life in Safal. Till now I have worked on 12 projects in different capacities. It was Subodh sir’s guidance and assistance which helped me to move forward. Till few days back I had the feeling that I am a successful techie in solving all the challenges which came up on my career. Bur recent feedbacks from one of our valuable client upset me. I realised the fact that the quality of work is being judged by the smile of the client. Now I have prepared and oriented myself to blossom the smiles in our client’s face. My challenge to myself in the coming days is to streamline and stabilise all the projects I am handling. And I always believe financial growth will follow the professional growth. I dont have any huge claims about my technical capabilities. But I have confidence in my colleagues and I had grown significantly in leading them from the fore front only with their support. Suresh Sornapudi Tech Lead Perceptions Changed! O ver a decade of experience in IT industry, had taught me that every day is going to be a new learning. When I look back, my journey in Safal in past six months, it is not just great learning but also changed my perception to a great extent. Before joining Safal I was thinking software development is all about technology specific , but the major thing I learned from here is that it not just technology alone that make it success, it is about participation also. I was wondering about the percentage of failure of software’s developed throughout the world. It iss alarming, it is about around 70%. Developing a good software is great, but what make it success is the acceptance of the stakeholders. Participation makes it happen in big way. Earlier for me it was hard to believe that a village women can design a graphical user interface of the software, which they are supposed to use, now it is reality.Throughout my career I have never been in a situation where most of the people around me speak the language which I can not understand. Hence connecting to people in Safal was a challenge for me. But the overwhelming support I received from colleagues except haridas made me feel that communication happen between hearts, language is just a medium!I always enjoyed helping others throughout my life. Being part of SaralTA, eventhough I did not get much time, there are couple of moments I will always cherish in my life, which has even pushed me to rethink, about my career ahead. It is never easy, looking at the number of people left us in between due to various reasons, but still the kind of support they are extending to us increase the confidence inside to walk further. About my mentor, is a great teacher, I am learning a lot from him. The art of putting things in its simplest format makes him one of the best teachers in my life. I have learned a lot from my colleague’s also. As mentioned earlier, each and every person is equally important for me to go ahead as a team to achieve and set higher goals. A.Anjaneyulu (Sr. Executive, Marketing) 3 ICT & Rural Development Opportunities & Challenges What is ICT ICTs are those technologies that can be used to interlink information technology devices such as personal computers with communication technologies such as telephones and their telecommunication networks. Michiels and Van Crowder (2001) have defined ICTs ‘as a range of electronic technologies which when converged in new configurations are flexible, adaptable, enabling and capable of transforming organisations and redefining social relations’. The range of technologies is increasing all the time and ‘there is a convergence between the new technologies and conventional media’ (Michiels and Van Crowder, 2001:8). This rapid and ongoing convergence means that devices such as digital cameras, digital video cameras and players, personal digital assistants, slide projectors and mobile telephones are also compatible with more traditional media such as radio (digital, satellite), television (cable, digital, satellite). What is digital divide The diffusion of ICT has been as dramatic, rapid, and far reaching as the agricultural revolution, the first industrial revolution (around factory production and the steam engine), and its sequel, based on the chemical and electrical industries. What is remarkable about the current ‘information technology’ revolution is the extraordinary rapidity of change it encapsulates. For example, it took at least a century before the printing press touched 50 million individuals. It took 38 years for radio to reach the same number, and thirteen years for television. But the World Wide Web, in only four years, exceeded the 50,000,000 mark. Never before has a communications revolution spread so rapidly. Alongside the optimism and hype surrounding the ICT revolution, it was noted that most people, in most countries of the world, remained completely untouched by this revolution. To get a basic idea about the extent of digital divide, estimates say the number of people in India with net access were not be more than 7% of the population in 2009. http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats3.htm) while the average across Asia was 20%. In terms of speed India ranked at 115th in April 2009. While the world’s tele-density as on December 31, 2008 stands at 78.11 per cent, India’s tele-density, as on March 31, 2010 54 per cent. The rural tele-density in the country is 18.97 per cent. The various parameters on which digital divide can be measured, are poverty, inequality, literacy, e-literacy and connectivity. Potential of ICT Improving economic returns In agriculture, prompt information about market will help the farmers, to break the information hegemony of the intermediaries who generally take advantage by exploiting the farmers, and hence get better returns from their 4 produce. However the intermediaries’ power over the small peasants is tied to their function of lending practices to fulfill the needs of procuring agricultural inputs and also sub systems. Apart from agriculture, in areas like dairy, ICT can intervene constructively by automating dairy cooperatives, collection process, which ensure transparency and better returns to the farmers along with improvement in supply chain management. The prominent example is Amul in Gujarat. In livestock sector ICT can be used to design and deploy an equitable livestock marketing information system that uses the cutting edge of the available ICT to provide regular and sustainable livestock price/volume information along with information on forage conditions, disease outbreak, conflict and water supply to support livestock producers, traders and decision making at multiple scales Reducing Risk ICT based knowledge/information centres set up in rural areas can provide information to the villagers on agricultural practices, animal husbandry, health, weather, employment opportunities, education, government schemes and so on. The centres can be made to run by the villagers themselves. From the centres situated in villages, information can be provided to the fisherfolk on the location of schools of fish in the sea, wavesites, the height of the waves, information on wind direction, how far fishermen can venture into the sea on a particular day, and their safety at sea. The timely information about the factors which influence the livelihoods will result in mitigating the risks. Creating new livelihood opportunities Apart from improving returns and reducing the risks of the existing livelihood opportunities ICT can also create new opportunities like micro-entrepreneurships like information kiosks. One of the path breaking models is Gyandoot in Madhya Pradesh where G2C services are offered to the citizens. The other avenues where ICT can be used to create new livelihood opportunities are business correspondence in financial inclusion, rural employment exchanges, rural tourism, in telemedicine and rural BPO. Social empowerment National e-Governance Plan, Panchayati Raj Strengthening project, Common Service Centres, eEducation programmes are all aimed to provide tools for social empowerment. What are the barriers Infrastructure barriers: Cost of connectivity still remains high Inadequate power supply Socio-economic barriers: ICT can be an enabler only if other social development activities are carried out along with it JEEVIKA-BRLPS PROSPECTS & CHALLENGES T he government of Bihar has initiated a project on rural livelihood promotion with support from the World Bank through a Society registered with Government of Bihar by the name of Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS). BRLPS through the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP) aims to improve rural livelihood options and works towards social and economic empowerment of the rural poor and women by promoting self managed community institutions and further strengthening their livelihoods. The project has been implemented for the period of 5 years, starting from October 2007. It is expected to cover around 5.9 lakh poor families spread over 4000 village of 44 blocks in eight districts of Bihar. A Rural Livelihoods Management Information System (RLMIS), with the help of Safal Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad, was designed for proper monitoring of the project progress and efficient project management decisions. The software has two main modules – cluster level and State/ District level. While the cluster level module is primarily a data entry module and helps in SHG and VO tracking systems, State/District is consolidation and report viewing module. The SU application and CU application interacts through the process of Synchronization. The software was developed, tested and has been implemented successfully in 44 blocks. At present, apart from the existing SHG application, Safal has developed and rolled out VO application, HR MIS, Dashboard, Website, module for partners monitoring for widening the spread and depth of Information System. As a new technological change in MIS, Safal has started piloting e-book keeping at BRLPS as JEEViKA eGram which aims at empowering community people through an information system developed and deployed at their level. As a future scope Safal is expecting some expansion at BRLPS through MIS deployment and service for Koshi project which will be implemented at 11 blocks of Bihar. As a natural phenomenon, development and expansion comes with bigger responsibilities and attention which get followed by issues and constraints. Same is being experienced at BRLPS project. At present this project is of utmost importance for Safal which will lead us to higher reputation, royalty and more business. We have to be more concerned about quality aspect, efficient human resources and better monitoring and management practices. Samrat Kumar Ghosh (Project Lead, BRLPS) .....continued from page 4 fact utilize the computer to improve their lives. Our flagship programme, SaralTA, is a step towards this direction Conclusion The effectiveness of projects involving ICTs to bridge the digital divide is inseparable from parallel efforts to increase justice, legality, transparency, and equity. ICT’s can have a positive role in development. But ICT’s are neither a panacea nor necessarily the first line of attack in combating poverty, misery, and injustice. The power of ICT can be leveraged by the role they can play in meeting core human needs. Haridas (Sr. Manager) Non availability of trained resources : A survey conducted by Saral Services in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University (UK) and Oxford reveals the non availability of IT trained human resources in rural areas. Hence, Saral’s relevance in the process of bridging the digital divide is majorly in capacity building. It is not enough simply to ensure that a village has electricity and telephone connections, or a computer for the use of the poor. Equally important are efforts to empower the community and users by building their capacity to operate and use it, so they can in Nalanda Sc hool Pr oject School Project Nalanda District is famous for education from long back. About 2000 B.C. it was education hub for entire world. Now a days most of the in heritance of Nalanda are dependent of agriculture and among them most of are living below poverty line . The educational condition of the district is almost similar to the rest of Bihar. I got opportunity to work with Saral Services, and I was sent to Lucknow for training for capacity building program for NGOs organized by Nalanda an NGO supported by Sri Dorabji Tata Trust. This Training helped me a lot in developing my capacity. Saral Services gave me an opportunity as Associate Project Lead to Serve the Historical Land of Mahatma Buddha & Mahavir. While surveying the government and non government school. I found that despite huge expansion of computer literacy the condition of computer education in the district is very poor. Even though some government schools have their own computers, generators and other facilities, they are not in position to provide education Trained teachers are not available in the schools. There is no prohibition for contingency, no money for diesel to run generator . these computer are kept idle in schools. In the beginning when we met D.M. Nalanda, his view towards NGOs was not positive He was reluctant to give permission to start the project. But we continued our effort and received the permission after meeting DM and DSE. I had mixed experience during my visits to private schools. Some schools were of high quality and have required infrastructure to facilitate computer education . But in many of the private schools dont have any computer facilities, because poor children are studying there.. The principal of the School Mr. A.K.Verma was impressed with our project, He agreed to start the project in his school. The students of the school were not very much familiar with computer before starting the project but now they are studding with enthusiasm. The student are enjoying the computer education. the pricipal has ensured us to give full support time to time. The teachers are also very happy with it. Manish Kumar Asst Project Lead, Saral 5 Moments of Pride, Memories to Cherish Safal Team at BRLPS ITFT Ranjeet giving training to children of Gurukul School, Biharsharif CML Workshop, Guwahati CPF Workshop, Hyderabad Pappu Alam with Mr. Nitish Kumar, Bihar CM, during a function at BRLPS E-Gram Workshop, Rajgir 6 Helping Neighborhood sc hool: school: Eduv entur e of Sar al Training Eduventur enture Saral Academy Introduction Every day when we came to office, we observed little children in green uniforms trudging to a nearby school. What struck us as odd was that most of them were without any footwear. While children going to school barefoot are a reality in rural India, this kind of poverty is something not normally expected in Andhra Pradesh, one of the prosperous states of India and that too in Hyderabad, its capital. We resolved to help the school in whatever way we could way. It seemed ironic to us that we run an Information Technology training institute for rural youth while next door to us is an urban school where we could make a difference. It was decided to take up as a social venture of Saral Services wherein rural youth of Saral Training Academy would render help to this school. The reflections....reflections.... F irst I would like to thank Subodh sir for giving me the reserved ticket in the Safal journey. When I was doing my MCA I came here for an acadamic project with the reference of my cousin. Initially before joining here, I do not have any knowledge or idea about the technology and the software environment. I have done my best in the project and after completion of my masters degree, Subodh sir has given me an opportunity to work in Safal as an employee and I was appointed as a VB Developer. Coming to the experience, am working here from the last 3 yrs and I never feel any pressure from my reporting persons or from the manager level. I really like the explanation of Subodh sir’s, he gives the explanation as he is giving to the small children’s and he never gets irritated if he has to say multiple times. This is the very good positive point in him. Subodh sir’s guidance, and my seniors’ training helped me a lot in logical and functional thinking. Even I got an opportunity to share my knowledge and gain knowledge with the meetings conducted in free time. Fortunately or unfortunately I got colleagues here who are just like the way of my friends in my childhood. They make fun and we use to have a relationship just like we all belongs to single family. Am lucky to say that my colleagues are my best friends who always care for me and do the needful. Even with my colleagues.., I enjoyed sharing work and birthdays and anniversary celebrations a lot. best help from us could be in the form of ICT training as that is what we specialize in. Project The Saral Services team has been working with four government primary schools in Rangareddy district of Andhra Pradesh since September 2009 where the computers were provided by the Government through Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. But the training provided to the teachers to make use of the computers was very limited. Saral’s intervention at this juncture became relevant. Saral focused on the teachers by enabling them to use computers. The entire process consumed almost 5 months with 22 sessions. The content of the training provided to teachers broadly included basic hardware, office applications like documents, spreadsheets, presentations and internet. As an output of this intervention, teachers in these four schools are using computers to teach the students, prepare the question papers, administrative purposes etc. Future From teachers, we seek to graduate to teaching students and work towards stimulating their interest in IT and who knows how many children will become MCAs or BTechs from this school in future! May be one day some may even join SaralTA and work towards reducing the digital divide Smita Rawat (Director, Saral) Some people might think to work in MNCs where you cannot raise your efforts or which takes a high time to raise your efforts. But in safal, our efforts get easily appreciable and we get encouragements in the form of rewards. Never mind, its a good opportunity to work in Safal. Pushpa G (Sr. Developer) F or the success of company, The commitment of team members to work together is a critical factor for effectively accomplishing the goals of the team. The relationships between team members develop out of this commitment and are key in team building and team success. As a Safal’s staff, the devotion towards bettering the lives of disadvantaged in our society makes me proud. Helps from the team, seniors, juniors and management make our projects successful. Keeping in mind the company’s mission statement, each team member should have a goal to improve the personal and company’s performance.“ The achievement of your goal is assured the moment you commit yourself to it.” Krushna Naik (Sr. Tester) reflections....reflections.... 7 reflections....reflections....reflections....reflections....reflections.... I t has been wonderful working with Safal Solutions Pvt. Ltd. It has provided me with some excellent learning opportunities. I have grown professionally as well as personally over the last one and half years at Safal. I joined here as ITFT and now working as System Administration. Here I got different platform to work like social development sectors in NGOs as well as in software development also. I got the better opportunities to scale my skill with Saral Services. I have taken Hardware Networking class for SaralTA Batch 10. I am also adopted with Saral School program and given Basic Computer Training to the students and teachers of CFL (Centre for Learning) which is a NGO based school in Secunderabad. A strong team is something that really makes a difference. My superior and seniors are the ones who have shown me the correct path to move ahead for my personal and official life. Chittaranjan Mohanta(System Administrator) I am very happy to say that after my joining in this company we got some new projects like VO, CPF, CML, and eGram, In these projects I worked in two projects, VO MIS and eGram . We got these projects because of our employees are working with honesty and devotion (Saral, Safal and field people). In this company I observed one thing that all employees are co-operating with each other, no ego feelings and no politics. I never thought this is saral or safal everybody working likes one company. I have acquired so much knowledge through facing the raised issues from field and that is why I got more scenarios to be tested for VO and eGram projects. Eventhough we have colleagues from different states I have never felt any language issues or working issues in this company. That is the symbol of specialty of India that is called ‘Unity in Diversity’ No other company will maintain like this, I.e. Giving a loans to poor area’s candidate for study, giving training to them, and giving placement. Helping the neighbourhood school by providing computer training is also unique I am very happy that company is giving preference to old employees for all occasion By working in this company automatically we will improve individuality. Naveen Chandra(Testing Engineer) 6 th July 2008,I still remember my first day, at Safal. I was given with Asterisk user manual (an IVRS technology) to go through, which was an entirely different technology from my academics which I learned, under the guidance of Mr. Bapi Raju. I have learned the technology and got an opportunity to work in a livelihood project (KHETI). August 2008; this is the month, I have solved a major issue in KHETI project and I have received appreciation for my work in KHETI project from my managers during my first review in Safal. I felt very happy. After a week I was selected to deploy IVRS server at field for KHETI project roll-out. For the first time I felt my growth in Safal, to be selected for visiting Seronj (MP) to deploy IVRS server. September 2009:- One fine day when I came to office, I heard news that my boss (Mr.Bapi Raju) has met with and serious accident, with a kind hart all our staff helped him financially. It god’s grace that he is out of danger and after 6 months he is recovered fully as like before. After then, I have got an opportunity to work in Udyogini project as a PHP developer. As well as I have given support to server administration department by coordinating with our consultant Mr. Bimal Jain in fixing server issues and implementing CVS. From there I got good knowledge on Linux and have implemented Bugzilla. 7th October 2009:- the day when I was assigned to work in KSAM and lead a team. Initially, I didn’t like to work, but Iater I felt it as a noble work to collect historic projects of Safal and to understand about them. I should thank Mr. Subodh for spending time and helping me and Miss. Smita for giving this opportunity. 15th September 2010 Our Production server has been crashed by one of our ex-employee. Mr.Chittaranjan and myself together we have restored the server. It took us a week to bring it back to fully functional. We were appreciated by our management for restoring the data. 1st August 2010 I got an opportunity to work in BRLPHR project, it is my first successful project which brought me good name as a developer, thanks to Mr.Suresh and our management for giving this opportunity. From that day I enjoyed working as a developer in couple of other projects like Udyogini and BRLP and pradan as well as giving support to our administration department. In the Year 2010 Safal have lost a lot of potential staff and as well as new young staff has joined. I worked in many technologies like IVRS, PHP, VB, UNIX programming and Linux servers. All this achievement wasn’t possible without the support and opportunity from my superiors; my achievement & learning at Safal give me satisfaction. So, as to motivate others. I t has been great experience with Safal. It has provided me with some challenging learning opportunities. I have grown professionally and personally over the last one and half years at Safal. I joined here as ITFT but I got the opportunity to start my career in software testing. During my starting period itself, testing skills are appreciated by seniors which excited me to do more hard work. Because of that I rewarded by best tester as ITFT. I got the better opportunities to scale my skill with Saral Services. I have taken software testing and Maths class for SaralTA. I have also worked with Saral School program and given basic computer training to the students and teachers. A strong thing is that really makes me faithful with this company is the constructive support I have received from my colleagues and superiors which is the guiding light in both my professional and personal life I want to share something with all. Always desire to learn something useful. Because a creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others. Kamlesh Kumar Gurjar(Software Testing) I came to know about Saral Services from my beloved friend Mr.Srinivas. After being selected in the Interview for the Saral services .My first project work in Saral services is CPF, after working for a month, I got an opportunity to explain about CPF Project to client at CPF training session. After this Training session, I felt confident in interacting with the Clients. I thank our managers for giving this opportunity to me.
