Quarterly Newsletter
“The Shed Guys” (TSG) are so pleased by your positive response to our
first written newsletter, we’ve decided to continue publishing and mailing the
newsletter on a quarterly basis. In addition to the “hard copy” that we’ll mail,
the newsletter will also be available on our website: www.theshedguys.com.
Just click on the About Us tab and then select Newsletter. We hope you continue to find the newsletter interesting and helpful and we look forward to receiving your comments and suggestions.
Have you ever wondered who owns “The Shed Guys”?
Well...wonder no more! Meet Brian & Michelle Rogers. Both Brian and Michelle are lifelong residents of the Rogue Valley. They married in 1987 and
have two boys who are part of the “The Shed Guys” team. In 1998 they purchased Rogue Valley Mini Barns (RVMB) from Marion Imrie, a gentleman
who started RVMB in the 1980’s in a 300 sq. ft.
gutted old brick building on Table Rock Road.
In September 2005, Brian and Michelle moved
RVMB from its birthplace to the current facility
on Airway Drive, just off Vilas Road. With the
move to the new facility, they changed the Company name to “The Shed Guys.” They felt that
the new name better described who they are and
what they do. They feel very blessed to have
been able to build really good looking quality
sheds for so many wonderful people of the Rogue
Valley and beyond. Of course, they are looking forward to meeting many
more of you.

In our attempt to become as humanly error free as possible and with the help of one of our customers we found a computer program called Sketchup. WOW! What a fun program! Sketchup has enabled us to create easy-to-read shed
footprints as well as three dimensional drawings. Sketchup helped bridge the communication gap by making it much
easier for our customers to get a better visual of their custom shed. To learn more about Sketchup visit their website
at www.sketchup.google.com.

One of the problems with shed doors is that raw lumber can warp over time and interfere with the door’s ability to close properly. We have worked for years to create a better shed door and have made some major improvements in the last 12 months by
designing the TSG adjustable door hardware kit. In 2008, we began installing the TSG adjustable door hardware kit to our Premium and Deluxe model sheds. For those RVMB or TSG customers who do not have the kit and
would like one, TSG can offer you a kit at a discounted price of $15.00 (regular price $19.00 for
all other sheds). Since shed doors vary greatly in size, please call ahead so we can collect the necessary information to ensure we get the right door adjustment hardware kit for you.
Another reason doors don’t close properly is that sheds can become “out of level” if moved, by
not having a solid base, by heavy rains or by freezing temperatures. This can be a fairly easy fix
by re-shimming under the skids. Ground movement is a natural phenomenon and is not covered
under our warranty. However, if you would like TSG to re-level your shed, please call for an appointment. We like to schedule re-shimming appointments when we already have a project in
your area since this reduces the cost to you.
