IT IS THE RUN Please take a moment to review the following Final Instructions carefully as they contain important details for all participants. START LINE CORRALS AND WAVE START In order to accommodate a record number of participants and provide an enjoyable race experience for all, each runner/walker will be assigned to a start line corral based on the expected finish time provided during the registration process. Your start line corral number will be printed on your race number. You are only permitted to enter your assigned corral or any corral behind your assigned corral. If you wish to run/walk with family and friends, all members of your group must start in the highest numbered corral assigned to any particular member. To alleviate congestion on the race course and at the finish line, each start line corral will be released in a rolling wave starting at approximately 30-second intervals. Please be patient and remember that your timing tag (activated as you cross the start line mats) will ensure that your official race time is not affected by your corral assignment. Race participants will be invited to enter their assigned corrals at 6:30 a.m. CHRONOTRACK TIMING When you pick up your race number, a state-of-the-art ChronoTrack bib-tag (B-Tag) labeled with that race number will be attached (please visit the Solutions table if the numbers do not match). This year’s B-Tag should remain attached to the bib (do not remove as in years past – you can simply walk away without having your tag collected) and pinned to the front of the runner’s outfit. Please follow the instructions provided in your registration packet. PLEASE NOTE: All participants must wear the ChronoTrack timing B-Tag on your race shirt or shorts for your time to be recorded. Race results will be posted at www.patsrun.com live on April 25, 2014. CHRONOTRACK TIMING TAG RULES • DO NOT forget your tag on race day – NO TAG, NO TIME. • DO NOT exchange your tag with any other participant. • DO NOT remove your B-Tag from your race bib. • You MUST cross the start line during the official start, before the timing mats have been removed, to receive an official time. • Personal timing chips will NOT work with the ChronoTrack timing system. Medical stations will be located at the start, finish and every water station along the course. For race day help, look for the volunteers dressed in red shirts with a white cross. STROLLERS/BABY JOGGERS In an effort to address safety concerns regarding baby jogger strollers pushed by runners on the crowded Pat’s Run course, a start line corral has been created. Participants with baby joggers who wish to run (and finish in less than 40 minutes) will be allowed to start in a corral marked “Running Strollers” directly behind the last runner’s corral, number 12, regardless of assigned corral. Only individual runners with jogging strollers may enter this corral; no family members or running buddies. All walkers, slow joggers with strollers, or baby joggers, regardless of estimated finish time, will be required to start in the final corral, number 28.
