“The Support Bra” was a huge display inside FOC designed to create awareness of breast cancer and engage shoppers with this important issue. Shoppers were encouraged to take selfies with the display then post them on social media using the hashtag #supportyourgirls. $1 would be donated to the American Cancer Society for each photo posted. Standee signage as well as flyers promoted the program. The FOC housekeeping staff wore pink shirts during the month for Breast Cancer awareness Month. The Guest Services team also wore pink shirts under their uniform blazers. Retailers also supported the campaign but displaying pink merchandise in their store-‐front window displays. Retailers parQcipated in a window display contest, which was won by Perfumania, Barneys and Worth New York. Advocate Health Care purchased an LED board adverQsing campaign to support their Breast Cancer Awareness Month efforts, marking the first Qme FOC was able to secure paid adverQsing as part of a cause markeQng campaign. Advocate Health Care also ran a special #storiesoZhegirls social media contest that offered parQcipants a chance to win FOC giZ cards. FOC also posted on the center’s web site and sent two e-‐blasts to their internal email list regarding the Pink Green Savings Card. Both Advocate Health Care and FOC used their social media feeds throughout the month to support the #storiesoZhegirls iniQaQve. Advocate Health Care also filmed a 33 minute vlog segment at The Support Bra display at FOC.
