Matt was looking to start a new project of his own so he started his search for the perfect bagger to build and he found this 2008 CVO Screamin' Eagle Road King. Why was this bike so perfect for his project? The bike had recently caught on fire and burned to the ground at The Party Palace in Butte, Montana, along with seven other motorcycles. Matt jumped at the opportunity for this bike as its 110" engine made it an 4 excellent platform for all of his custom plans. Matt finally brought the bike into the Bad Dad shop and quickly began working on his new project. Matt really liked the bike's original color and he wanted to retain the bike's factory painted frame so he worked within the parameters of the factory colors. He then added a massive 23" wheel to the front of the bike and then covered it in Bad Dad's 23" Wrap Fender. He wanted to elongate the front end of the bike so he also added one of Bad Dad's Stretched Headlight Nacelles. To keep things long and low, Matt stretched his gas tank using one of Bad Dad's Stretched Tank Shrouds and then custom made his own stretched dash. Matt wanted to keep the sides of his bags as smooth as possible so he wouldn't interrupt his paint scheme so he added a set of Bad Dad's Shaved Saddlebags and finished off the back of the bike with the replacement version of Bad Dad's Fender Cover at accommodate his wide 170mm rear tire. The Road King's parts list was completed with a set of full Bad Dad Flush Mount Lighting for both the bike's brake light and turn signals. And for paint? Matt custom airbrushed flames across the bike to pay homage to the bike's party-animal history, of course. Dave is the original owner of a 2006 CVO Screamin' Eagle Ultra that he has customized over the years using a wide range of parts, including Bad Dad's 2" Saddlebag Extensions and Bad Dad's Flush Mount Lighting. Dave regularly rode the Ultra coast-to-coast exploring the roadways of the USA and visiting bike shows all across the country. In the winter of 2011, Dave decided that he needed a 26 bike that was more custom than his Ultra and he decided to try his hand at building a ground-up custom bagger. He got together with the guys at Bad Dad for plans on his new bike, and Bad Dad even helped him determine the right platform for his next build: a 2007 Road Glide. Dave wanted to build the best bike that he could so he used all of Bad Dad's top-of-the-line parts. He set off the front end with a custom 23" wheel and complemented it with one of Bad Dad's 23" Mo' FL Fenders to maintain that traditional, classic look. Since Dave had already chosen a very elaborate paint scheme, he needed more real estate for his custom artwork so he stretched the bike's gas tank with Bad Dad's Stretched Tank Shroud and replaced the stock dash with Bad Dad's Low Profile dash. His gas tank flows smoothly into Bad Dad's Stretched Side Covers which provide even more room for his custom paint. Dave also upgraded all of the accessories on his bike, including a set of Bad Dad’s Long Cut Floorboards, Brake Pedal, and Shifter Pegs. Dave also used a set of Bad Dad’s Long Strokes Exhaust Pipes which are designed specifically for the bike’s Stretched Saddlebags. These custom slip-on pipes extend just beyond the back edge of the Stretched Bags to show just the right amount of chrome out the rear of the bike. Dave's newest custom bagger has only been The Road Glide was cleaned up even further finished for a few months and it's already with a set of Bad Dad's Shaved Bags which been awarded Best Paint at the 2011 Muskefeature the custom internal hinges and gon Bike Time along with a handful of other Shaved Lids. Brad spent some time on Bad Dad’s website and quickly formulated a plan for his new 2011 Street Glide. He used past Bad Dad projects as a baseline for determining what he wanted his custom bagger to look like. and Brad drove from Chicago, Ill. to Fort Wayne, Ind. to visit Bad Dad’s shop. After spending some time going over more details, Brad set a date to drop off his bike. After giving Bad Dad some general guidelines about what he wanted from his bike, he allowed the guys at Bad Dad a lot of freedom with the direction of his project. Next Brad sent the guys at Bad Dad an email to let Bad Dad know of his plans. The guys at Bad Dad were Brad’s Street Glide turned able to give him some inout great and features sevsight about his new project, eral of Bad Dad’s premium 14 custom bagger parts. Brad’s custom 23” front wheel is wrapped in Bad Dad’s 23” Wrap Fender that shows off the custom front wheel. Bad Dad also cleaned up the front end by flush mounting a set of custom turn signals in the front fairing. Bad Dad then used its Stretched Tank Shroud and Low Profile Dash to stretch the tank back into the custom seat, and then kept the flow going by stretching the side covers too. Brad’s bike also features Bad Dad’s Shaved Saddlebags with the custom internal hinge and locking mechanism. To keep the clean look of the bike, Bad Dad also flush mounted Brad’s taillights into the back of the Shaved Bags and the custom Fender Cover. Brad’s flush lights are smoothly integrated into the rear fender so the lights are completely hidden when the bike is off and don’t appear until the bike is turned “on.” Bad Dad also mounted Brad’s license plate to one of their automatic Hide-a-Plates which utilizes a rotating plate assembly that hides behind the custom rear fender.
