Abortion is permitted by the legislation of the of
Republic of Kazakhstan
- Before 12 week of pregnancy on a patients request
- From 13 to 22 week of pregnancy only for social or
medical reasons
 Abortion procedure is included in the guaranteed
volume of free medical care for citizens of the RK
 By the order of the MOHSD of the RK № 626 adopted in
2009, abortion procedure before 49 days gestation can
be carried out in an outpatient setting (vacuum or
medical)


 They are not supported by men;
 There are no money to provide the
children;
 Women feel socially insecure, they often
do not have housing, work and any
allowances
 "My boyfriend says that it is too early to
think about the children, we still have
time. I also thought about it and decided
that now I do not need a baby"


Surgical curettage is the most common
method of abortion (more traumatic method);
Most clinics do not provide services for the
MVA and MA;
Abortion services are not available at all
