WELCOME
This is an exciting time for the sport of volleyball.
Thank you for helping us make the PVL a success in
the United States! With the kickoff of our 2nd Annual
Women’s PVL Championships this year in Louisville,
we are very focused on our goal of creating a
successful and sustainable indoor professional
volleyball league in the US for post-collegiate
athletes. Last year we kicked off the league in Salt
Lake City, UT with 12 women’s teams and crowned
the Hoosier Exterminators as the first PVL
Champions! This year we will have 15 women’s
teams at this event and we hope to have at least 6
men’s teams at the first men’s PVL Championships
in Reno, NV during the 2013 USAV Boys’ Jr.
National Championships.
Steve Bishop
PVL President
I would like to take a moment and thank USA Volleyball for joining us
on this journey and sanctioning our tryouts, practices, and competitions.
We are grateful to have the National Governing Body as a sanctioning
partner and we look forward to growing the PVL into a robust indoor
professional league, similar to those in many other volleyball
Federations, in the very near future. We believe that our grassroots
regional model will allow for steady growth and will ultimately bring the
game, and the many PVL stars, to our fans.
Additionally, I would like to thank ROX Volleyball, DataProject, and
David Jester Photography for their early partnership with the PVL. We
are honored to have such great companies share the PVL vision. I invite
other corporations, both inside and outside of the volleyball
marketplace, to join us on this exciting journey.
I hope that you enjoy the competition and camaraderie that is sure
to be part of the 2nd Annual Women’s PVL Championships in Louisville
this week. We invite you to also join us on the journey as we make
professional volleyball in the USA a reality!
Best regards,
Steve

PVL STORY
The USA PVL is a grass roots professional volleyball league that began in 2012. It is
made up of teams from among of the forty regional volleyball associations across the
United States. The USA PVL is sanctioned by USA Volleyball and offers tournament
play and a League Championship event each year.
In 2012 the PVL offered a League Championship event for women's teams at the
USA Open National Championships in Salt Lake City, UT. Twelve women's teams
competed in Salt Lake City and the Hoosier Exterminators won the first PVL
Championship event. In 2013 the PVL will begin offering tournament play for
women's PVL teams at various locations across the US along with adding a men's
PVL division and a men's League Championship event. The first men's
PVL Championship tournament will take place at the USAV Boys' Jr. National
Championship event in Reno, NV.
Post-collegiate athletes that are interested in participating in the PVL should contact
their Regional Volleyball Association (RVA) office and inquire about their respective
team.
• PVL MISSION
The mission of the PVL is to create a successful and sustainable indoor professional
volleyball league for elite-level post-collegiate male and female athletes in the United
States.
•
PVL VISION
The vision of the PVL is to have twenty professional men's teams and twenty
professional women's teams across the United States competing in regional and
conference play during the season, with a culminating PVL Championships for each
gender taking place annually. The regional events will take place at a participating
USAV Jr. National Qualifier(s) or at a PVL hosted event in a respective USAV
region. Once the league reaches critical mass, the PVL Conference Championships
will take place on a rotating basis in each respective conference (Western, Central, &
Eastern) in early/mid May of each year with the PVL Championships taking place at
either the US Open or the respective USAV Jr. National Championship.
•
PVL GOALS
1. Create a regional indoor pro volleyball league in the US with adult all-star teams
fielded by USAV regions.
2. Field a minimum of twenty men's and twenty women's professional teams.
3. Sanction regional events, conference events, and a PVL National Championship
event each year.
4. Partner with reputable sponsors and partners to assist with promoting
professional volleyball and providing financial support for the PVL.
5. Develop role models for youth and junior volleyball athletes across the US.
6. Take professional volleyball to the fans by hosting PVL events at large USAV
sanctioned events across the US.

PVL PARTNERS
The ROX brand came into existence in the Fall of 2008. The
idea behind the brand was to transcend the world of volleyball
apparel by fusing performance and function with fashion. A
team of current and former volleyball players created the brand
with the belief that a uniform should be perfectly functional yet
stylish enough to keep up with the ever-changing fashion
trends.
Rox Volleyball’s indoor apparel for women was the first of their
lines to hit the volleyball market, focusing on the junior’s
volleyball needs. Launching a full line of colorful jerseys,
The Official Outfitter of the PVL!
spandex, kneepads and socks in their first season, Rox was
able to provide the volleyball player with options they did not
have before. Now Rox has expanded into an all-encompassing brand for men, women and juniors that includes
indoor, casual and performance beach wear.
With the growth of the sport, the brand realized that beach volleyball had not been given the attention it deserved,
and in 2010 came out with a performance beachwear line strictly for the volleyball player. Rox was focused on what
beach players really needed in performance wear and now the company has a full line of no-slip bathing suits, board
shorts and cover-ups. You can see some of the exciting new gear on Rox Beach Professionals such as Kristen Batt,
Adrian Carambula, CJ Macias and Michelle Moriarty.
The sport of volleyball has come a long way and Rox Volleyball will continue to stay ahead of the game in order to
provide its customers with the latest and greatest in quality volleyball apparel. Focusing solely on volleyball, Rox has
been able to do just that, while successfully coming out with “serious gear for hardcore competition” and a brand
that sets itself apart from the rest.
www.RoxVolleyball.com
Rox is “Where Performance Meets Fashion”.
Data Project started up in 1982, a software house
dedicated to the creation of tools and services for
sport, in a world where the importance of computers
has become essential in the management of every
business.
The Official Photographer of the PVL!
David lives in Orlando, FL and has been a sports
photographer for over 30 years.
Photos from the 2013 Women’s PVL
Championships can be viewed on the
David Jester Photography website.
DATA PROJECT’s objectives are to spread its
programs on all levels in order to allow the widest of
information among coaches, to have all the data
needed available so to program their work during the
sport season and above all to provide the
instruments which enable the younger coaches to
develop a correct programming and analysis
mentality of the work carried out.
The company, with its technical branch in Salerno
and its commercial branch in Bologna, have
developed services for important organizations, such
as Leagues, Federations and television networks
(more information), so as to resolve the needs related
to the scouting, displaying and diffusion of technical
and informative data, by using the most updated
media available and the advice of technicians and
researchers at the top of their discipline.

JOIN THE PVL!
We need your help to make the PVL a success in the United States!
The PVL is a non-profit corporation that can accept charitable
contributions to help offset annual operating expenses. As one of the
only highly successful FIVB Volleyball Federations in the world to not
have a professional indoor volleyball league, the USA PVL has a vision to
have twenty men’s and twenty women’s professional volleyball teams
across the US. These teams will compete in regional and conference
play during the season, with a culminating PVL Championships for each
gender taking place annually. The PVL will create elite post-collegiate
playing opportunities and role models for the continually growing junior
volleyball community.
In order to make this happen, we need all volleyball athletes, coaches,
officials, administrators, and fans to join the PVL on this most important
journey.
