SUPERIOR ATRIUM ROOMS
The Superior Atrium rooms are located on the 1st and 5th floor. They face
the Atrium reception of Grand Hotel Reykjavík and guests can observe
the activity and fine decor of Miðgarður, the grand reception area, directly
from their room. Choose between a queen size bed or two twin beds to
relax in after a full day of exploring the city.
SUPERIOR ROOMS
Our Superior Rooms are located on the first 5 floors in a recently renovated
wing of the hotel. The rooms have a flat screen TV, a shower/bathtub
combo and are available with two twin beds or a queen sized bed. The
rooms are designed for your comfort and satisfaction.
FAMILY AND TRIPLE ROOMS
Family and Triple Rooms are a perfect choice for small groups or families
travelling with children. These spacious rooms are equipped with either
three double beds or two double beds and a sleeper couch. Great value
rooms with extra space for additional guests and all the amenities you
would expect from a four star hotel.
EXECUTIVE VIEW ROOMS
Our Executive View Rooms will put you right at ease after a full day’s
activity. The rooms are spacious and furnished in a modern Scandinavian
style decor offering an excellent view over the colorful mosaic of Reykjavík’s
rooftops or the majestic Mount Esja.
BUSINESS CLASS ROOMS
Coming from a long flight and need to relax? There is no better way
than staying in our Business Class Rooms. Located on the 10th and 11th
floors, the comfortable Business Class Rooms offer an amazing view of the
bustling city of Reykjavík or the quiet serenity of the peaceful mountains.
JUNIOR SUITES
The Junior Suites are fitted with a spacious seating area where guests
can sit back, relax and view either the magnificence of Mount Esja or the
spectacle of lights over the city of Reykjavík. All suites include a jacuzzi
and a separate shower, as well as bathrobes and slippers. In addition, they
provide free entrance to our gym and spa, as well as a complimentary
breakfast delivery to your room on request.
PRESIDENTIAL SUITE ÁSGARÐUR
The Presidential Suite Ásgarður towers above Reykjavík on the 13th floor
with a commanding view of the city. Ásgarður has a spacious living room
with a dining table, a sofa area, picture windows and balconies offering a
breathtaking view over the city. The bedroom has a luxurious king size bed
and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi and separate shower.
PRESIDENTIAL SUITE ÚTGARÐUR
Presidential Suite Útgarður presides on the 13th floor with a breathtaking
view of the city, and balconies that open to the awe inspiring grandeur of
Mount Esja. It has an expansive living/meeting room with a large board
meeting table and seating for fourteen. The large bedroom has a luxurious
king size bed and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi and separate shower. A
second bedroom can be arranged.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE
Grand Hotel Reykjavík is wheelchair friendly and the hotel has 15 guest
rooms that are handicap accessible and offer the guest all the comfort
and elegance. The reception, guest rooms, and showers are designed for
wheelchair and handicap accessibility.

Restaurant welcomes you to its magnificent,
modern and elegant surroundings where you can
enjoy culinary art at its best. A variety of delicious
dishes compliment our menu emphasizing

using only top quality ingredients, such as fresh
local produce and fine seasonal products.
MIÐGARÐUR
Enter Miðgarður, the heart of Grand Hotel Reykjavík,
and a great venue for a welcome drink or reception.
Miðgarður presents a theme of Nordic mythology
combined with symbols of Iceland‘s dramatic
nature — water, fire and ice. At larger functions the
atrium can be used for presentations and welcome
receptions.
NORDIC MYTHOLOGY
The heart of Grand Hotel Reykjavík is beating
with wisdom from Hávamál – Sayings of the High
One, that is presented as a single poem in the
Poetic Edda. When walking through the main
entrance of the Grand Hotel Reykjavík you are
greeted with the creation of the world by Völuspá
(Prophecy of the Völva) a phenomenal glass
artwork by the Icelandic artist Leifur Breiðfjörð.
TORFASTOFA
Welcome to our new Scandinavian style bar
and lounge. When guests need a lift or a little
relaxation, they come to Torfastofa, our friendly
and comfortable leisure area, to enjoy its dramatic
yet graceful atmosphere. The bar menu offers a
good selection of light meals delivered with a
warm smile.
TEIGUR, MÚLI & LUNDUR GALLERÍ
Teigur, Lundur and Múli are three great meeting rooms located in our
new building. All three rooms are fully equipped with the latest technical
equipment, LCD projector and flip chart, and furnished with comfortable
directors‘ chairs. To enhance the environment, specially designed lighting
and air-conditioning is used. The rooms are ideal for smaller meetings.
The adjoining area has private seating for coffee breaks.

Hvammur is the hotel’s second largest conference room. The venue is an
ideal place to host meetings, receptions, private meals and small exhibitions. Located on the ground floor next to Grand Restaurant. Hvammur
offers ample break out space with easy access and natural daylight.
Háteigur A and B, located on the fourth floor, are perfect venues for
smaller banquets, receptions, meetings, and wedding parties. Háteigur
A has large windows and a view of the Atlantic Ocean. Háteigur B is
ideal for private dining or training sessions. Joining the two venues is a
common break out area with WC facilities. Both halls offer a private bar
and access to a large balcony where guests can enjoy the lovely view and
fresh air during breaks.

Set up your office and get comfortable. Bjarg is a convenient
boardroom style office with a flat screen, flip chart, coffee
and tea facilities. Bjarg provides an ideal event organizer’s
office/control room, as it is adjoining the Gullteigur area.
Gullteigur is the largest conference hall in the hotel. In all, it is possible to seat 470
in this comfortable 345 m2 facility. As you might expect, it is fully furnished with state
of the art equipment including three translator booths. Gullteigur has a convenient
private entrance and a good size reception area for welcome drinks, coffee breaks or
exhibits. The hall can be split into two separate venues if needed. Gullteigur is a great
venue for large conventions, meetings, exhibitions or banquets.
