printing, Brooklyn, NY This portfolio reproduces 100 untitled Kodachromes shot by Brian Tucker and Nikki Tucker in Los Angeles, California between 1980 and 1984. The Tuckers orig-­‐
inally printed these photographs as inexpensive color Xerox copies and housed them in a scarred and tattered brown Presstex grip binder for convenient sharing among friends in the L.A. hardcore community. It contained an ever-­‐changing selection of images with no established order. Prints in the present work retain certain artifacts of the unique combination of color processes, as well as numerous marks of handling and display accrued through years of circulation. We believe these flaws make the images more rather than less beautiful. The interior paper wrappers reproduce the covers of the Tuckers’ original album. The red, silk-­‐screened binder that protects the ensemble of plates and wrappers is a newer version of that same Presstex model from the 1980s. Like the original work, this portfolio is presented unbound so prints can be removed, shuffled, displayed, shared, or modified as the beholder wishes.

Both the standard and deluxe editions come in a custom silk-­‐screened presstex binder with an interior wrapper that reproduces the covers of the original binder. All 100 prints are hand-­‐stamped and numbered. DELUXE EDITION - 26 lettered copies
