Minutes of April 12 were approved. Motion made by Larry Hampton, Dick Wilkinson seconded.
Roger gave the treasurer’s report.
OLD BUSINESS:

Newsletter/Club meeting minutes – Whitey’s daughter, Stacy Sievers, will now be attending the meetings to
take minutes, compose to the News Letter, and add to the website. Thank you Sharon for your contribution to
the August 4 meeting minutes.

Cruise to Omaha and Lincoln - Butch commented on the cruise to Omaha and Lincoln. Was an awesome
trip, 13 people, and 7 cars. The museum is outstanding, a must to see.

Drag City is August 16 with a rain date of August 30 - Free Show-n-Shine with Whitey and Roger in
charge. CVSR should park in the show n shine area. Club member cars will greatly help get our Show-nShine off the ground this year. Jeff Evans donated $50 and the club donated $50 for the fastest ET before
12:00 noon for both cars and bikes. The drag strip will give away something for over 100 mph. We need
volunteers for the gate and registration. Larry thanked Copy Works for their printing donation of additional
Drag City flyers.
NEW BUSINESS:

We passed around pictures of the 40th Anniversary party.

Cruise to Lake Okaboji – Leaving Thursday, Sept. 10 for Clear Lake and Lake Okaboji. Visiting a car
museum. Coming home on Sept. 12. If interested, contact Butch.

Jeff Evans reported on the Leon Evans Car Show. Will be October 10 from 10:00 – 4:00 at the new ballpark in
Fairfax. Park on the soccer fields. There will be nostalgic stock cars, hot rod tractors, vintage sprint cars,
food, etc. Last year there were 260 cars.

Dennis Moeller 563-580-7684 will do club embroidery on shirts, jackets, etc. You need to purchase what you
want and get it to him. Front $ 10.00, Name $ 8.00, Back $ 25.00

Follow up movie night for 40th Anniversary – Will be Sept. 13 at Whitey and Shirley’s at 5:00 p.m. Showing
video and pictures taken. Food will be served, bring chairs, beverage and a dessert to share.

Manchester Cruise – August 8 & 9, Cruise Saturday at 4:30, car show on Sunday.

Lisbon Car Show on August 15. Nice show in the past.

Thank you published in the Camp Courageous Courier magazine for Cruisin for CC.

Suggestion of a day trip in October to Dubuque, etc. Anyone interested in planning/organizing the trip? To
my knowledge, nothing was organized for the Saturday cruise.

Going out to eat on August 25 to the Pizza Place in Center Point. Meeting at Wal-Mart on Blairs Ferry at 6:00
and Dave Wheatley will lead those from the south side of town, meeting at Toys R Us at 5:30 to cruise
together. Eating at 6:30 at the Pizza Place. O’Breins Ice Cream for the “sweet tooth” junkies after dinner.

August 22 – Eddyville – Old Nostalgic Drag Racing.

Anyone interested in touring the Masonic Library? Contact Lois Bailey she is inquiring about dates, setting up
a guided tour, etc.
