Short Shift Kit 2002-2003 MINIs
The PROMINI quick shift kit reduces shift lever
travel by 30%. The shafts are CNC machined 303
stainless steel with 6061-T6 pivot ball, featuring high
quality aluminum pivot bushings that replacing the
factory rubber units. This is the only way we have
found to reduce the sloppy feel of the factory lever.
The kits includes CNC 303 stainless steel lever, aircraft quality aluminum lever bushings, billet aluminum shift knob,
and full detailed
instructions.
Lever is designed to accept your original factory shift
knob, or any
aftermarket universal knob
with a 14mm
inside diameter.
The electronic module installs
in minutes between your accelerator pedal and the vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) in vehicles equipped
with an electronic throttle control. Also known as a
"drive-by-wire" system, electronically controlled throttle
systems are already garnering complaints for lag, lack
of sensitivity and overall poor throttle control. In some
vehicles the ECU will not allow full throttle, even with
the accelerator pedal fully depressed, until a road
speed exceeding 35mph is achieved.
The Sprint Booster solves these issues by continuously
measuring and converting the digital signal sent to the
ECU from the accelerator pedal and then altering the
signal for increased performance and responsiveness.
Installation in most vehicles takes less than 20 minutes
and is fully reversible, perfect for lease vehicles.

The RPM of the supercharger is what determines the boost created in the MINI Cooper S. Reducing the size of the supercharger
pulley, increases the blower RPM which increases the boost. The
reduction size on the pulley increases the blower RPM by the
same amount.
For example, this increases boost from the factory 10.5 PSI to 12.5
PSI with the 15% reduction pulley.
We have experienced up to 12 HP increases, with torque improvement by as much as 14ft. lb. The impressive torque increase is what
translates into some incredible acceleration.
