This summer NYSCATE is again inviting
educational leaders from across New York
Leadership Summit
State to continue the dialogue of technology
integration in our schools. We will build on
the overwhelming success of previous years. The retreat will gather experts from around the
field to present, discuss and debate topics relative to the ongoing challenges schools face in
helping all students learn in the 21st century.
We believe effective leaders utilize the hard won expertise of others and share their own
knowledge within their learning community. The summit is designed to provide school
superintendents, district and building administrators, and directors of technology with the
opportunity to experience and share best practices in K-12 educational technology.
Leaders also balance the needs of today with a vision of tomorrow. Sessions are designed to
provide educational leaders with insights into new and emerging technologies and trends
which have the potential to transform teaching and learning.

Keynote Presentations
and Programs, New York State Education
Department, for an update on the Board of
Regents' USNY Statewide Learning Technology Plan. This special session is an opportunity for
NYSCATE members to receive updates on the State Education Department's implementation of
the statewide learning technology plan, approved by the Board of Regents in February. During
the session, participants will work in small groups to propose solutions and strategies to SED
that address the plan's actions.
