Sharing God’s Love
School Closings and Delays
Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade
visited the residents at Emmanuel Home in Northumberland recently to present a Thanksgiving program.
The program included songs, Scripture recitations, poems, piano selections, and a sing-along by some puppet
friends. Before returning to the school, students had
the opportunity to speak with many of the residents and
present them with Thanksgiving gifts that were made in
school by the students.
~Mr. Ed Thomas
SCA will usually follow the Shikellamy School
District closing and delays. If the district you live in
closes school due to inclement weather, your child will
receive an excused absence if he/she cannot get to
school.
Shikellamy may remain open on days that
would not be beneficial to our program. Some of our
teachers, students and their parents travel long distances to get to SCA and may be put in jeopardy if required
to come to school on some wintry days. Please check
for announcements around 6:15 AM on the following
stations:
TV: WYOU 22, WBRE 28, WNEP 16
Radio: WGRC 91.3 FM, WQKX 94.1 FM, WPGM
96.7 FM, WYGL 100.5 FM, WEGH 107 FM, WKOK
1070 AM and 1240 AM.
Reagan Dorman and Max Reichard
(kindergarten) shared their costumes and
smiles with Emmanuel residents.
