Creditcare is a free confidential financial
counselling service assisting individuals and
families regain control of their financial lives.
Creditcare Referrals:
Referrals may be made by:
• Self.
• Department for Child Protection
• Financial Institutions.
• Non-Government Sector.
Appointments
Counselling appointments need to be made
by contacting the office on 9220 1288.
Creditcare assistance is strictly by
appointment only.
Creditcare is a program of UnitingCare West
and is supported by funding from Department
for Child Protection and Department of
Families, Housing, Community Services and
Indigenous Affairs.

How Does Creditcare Work?
Creditcare is a free, confidential Financial
Counselling service that assists individuals and
families to regain control of their financial lives.
Creditcare provides a professional and
comprehensive, specialist financial counselling
service for individuals and their families.
Financial Counselling:
This service targets individuals and families
who are suffering financial difficulties with
consequential emotional trauma.
• Equips the vulnerable and disadvantaged in financial crisis.
• Provides short term crisis management and long term prevention strategies.
• Includes counselling, educating, analysing, options, negotiating, advocating, mediating, personal financial management and referring.

The service aims to enhance financial
independence and assist clients to deal with their
own financial situations. This is achieved through
face to face financial counselling and consumer
education.
Creditcare participates in the process to bring
about social change through legislative reform
and encouraging ethical finance industry
practices.

with these.
• Cannot meet your financial commitments.
• Are spending more than you earn.
• Need help to sort out family finances.
