Atlanta: Thursday, April 8
San Francisco: Thursday, April 22
Chicago: Thursday, May 6
New York: Monday, May 24
Washington, D.C.: Friday, June 11
These signature events brings together the best wines and spirits from around the world, with
nearly 100 tables featuring top producers and importers along with samples from over 30 of
each city’s best restaurants, all showcasing their products in an elegant setting to the
accompaniment of live music, creating a gala wine, food and cultural event.
Each event is held in the evening and features a VIP tasting of reserve and signature wines
for approximately 500 attendees, followed by a Grand Tasting for another 1,000 attendees, plus
members of the trade. There is no restriction of what wines or how many that you may pour.
As a Wine Enthusiast Magazine media partner you have the opportunity to participate in
these important events, reaching nearly 2,000 affluent wine and spirits consumers at each
location as well as influential members of the trade. As an advertiser, you are invited to reserve a
table to showcase your brands; you will also be recognized in promotional, advertising and press
materials. The participation fee is $ 7.995 per table for all five locations or $1,795 per table for
individual events.
Wine Star Awards Dinner
Annual Trade Recognition Program
Wine Enthusiast Magazine recognizes excellence in the wine and spirits industry with its
annual “Wine Star Awards” program. Exceptional achievement is recognized in 11 major
categories: Person of the Year; American, European and New World Winery of the Year;
Winemaker of the Year; Importer of the Year; Retailer of the Year; Distiller of the Year; Region of
the Year; Innovator of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
In 2008 winners were celebrated at a gala black-tie dinner on Monday January 26, 2009 at
the landmark New York Public Library in New York City, attended exclusively by leading
members of the wine and spirits industry. The $1,000 per person dinner ($9,000 per table of 10)
also serves as a benefit, with net proceeds donated to support research in the wine and spirit
industry.
