The heavy-duty Hi-Visc Bariatric pressure-reducing
mattress is designed specially for bariatric patients.
It consists of a mixture of visco-elastic memory temperature sensitive foam and high resilient orthodox
foam for a high level of comfort and pressure redistribution.
Key features at a glance
Adapts to the body’s shape to give excellent pressure re-distribution.
Minimises friction and shear.
Re-adjusts to any positional change of the body and re-moulds within just 10 seconds.
Zip opening is set inboard and underneath of the cover, which ensures the cushion is used the correct
way up. It minimises the risk of contamination: underneath zips avoid long upper side seams which risk
ingress of fluids; fluids will not rise upwards

The Sapphire is a complete mattress replacement system that sets a new standard for pressure relief surfaces in bariatric rehabilitation.
The Sapphire features high strength air cushions, which are vented to provide True Low-Air –Loss therapy.
This therapy helps keep the patient dry and comfortable whether in alternation or static modes of operation.
The air cells rest on a 2” covered foam safety pad for added patient protection during power outage or patient transfer. The foam base is covered with a waterproof material to eliminate cross contamination of bodily
fluids.
The Sapphire comes with a quilted top cover, which is waterproof, vapour permeable and completely machine washable (poly urethane coated nylon). The system includes an exceptionally quiet control unit. The
unit is user friendly and attaches easily to the footboard of most standard medical bed frames.
Digital technology allows the alternation cycle time, the pressure settings and the mode of operation to be
changed with the touch of a button. Additional features include: "Static" for stationary Low-Air-Loss therapy,
"Fowler" to boost seat inflation when the head is elevated, "Auto Firm" for rapid inflation and easy patient
transfer, "Lockout" to maintain caregiver settings without accidental interruptions, "Low Pressure" and
"Power Failure" audible / visual alarms, and "Self Diagnostic Check" to quickly assess all switches and sensors for proper calibration & operation.

For general cleaning & superficial dirt, use a disposable wipe with a solution of warm water and neutral detergent. Do not use
