From panoramic vistas to the tiniest living form, nature is a constant source of wonder and awe. It is also a continuing revelation of the divine. CCCB 2003 Pastoral Letter on the Christian Ecological Imperative A silent retreat guided with embodied prayer and daily reflections C M Guide: Maureen Wild, SC Y CM MY This contemplative retreat offers a wholesome and creative body-heart-soul experience, weaving together these elements: CY CMY K Jericho House is an ecumenical and inter-faith youth leadership, justice and spirituality centre that welcomes adults and whose primary purpose is to offer education in leadership, ecology, social justice and spirituality. THIS purpose is enhanced by the Jericho House’s practice of hospitality which creates an inclusive and supportive environment for all visitors. • Outdoor prayer and movement meditation with gentle and progressive introduction to Chakra T’ai Chi Chih • A daily conference that weaves the wisdom of our embodied spiritual nature with related insights about the dynamics and powers of the universe, the mysticism of earth, and the creation-centered spirituality of mystics within the Christian tradition (Hildegard of Bingen, Francis of Assisi, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and others), and geologians, theologians, visionaries of our time (Thomas Berry, Elizabeth Johnson, Brian Swimme and others). • Readings, questions and scriptural passages for reflection • Music, song and poetry to complement each conference • Abundant silent time • Optional art expression, sacred circle dance and walks outdoors as ways within which to integrate the theme of each day • An optional daily sharing circle to receive from each other • Contemplative closing to each day
