Introduction
The Thoraflex Hybrid™ Sizing Chart incorporates a 15-25% oversize of ring stent
diameter to aortic diameter. Aortic diameter is based on inner vessel (I.D) diameter
measurements therefore no further oversize is required. If outside vessel diameters
(O.D) are measured then an allowance for the vessel wall diameter must be made
before using the sizing chart for device selection.
Vascutek Limited has performed testing and recommends that a 15-25% oversize
and a 40mm distal landing zone will provide optimum sealing within healthy
vessel.1

on individual patient anatomy eg. tortuosity
When oversizing in a dissection clinical judgement must be used on an individual patient basis.
It should be considered when measuring length that the device will take the outer curve of the aorta.

Some movement of the distal ring of the hybrid prosthesis may occur following re-perfusion of the
thoracic aorta please refer to IFU.
