Bowl For Kids Sake 2016
Bowl For Kids Sake 2016 will take please on Saturday, February 27th
2016! We have moved the event this year to the evening & want you
and your friends to come out for a night out! There is also an earlier
bowling time at 4:00PM.
This year's theme will be a 70's Glam Party and sure to be an
amazing evening! Join us in costume for Rock n Bowl, food, prizes
and help raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton.
Teams can consist of 4-6 bowlers and a minimum of $500 per team.

Open Gym at Bluewater Cheer Athletics
Come play and tumble during Open Gym at Bluewater Cheer Athletics! Open gym is lightly
supervised free time, where Littles (and Bigs) are free to use the equipment to practice their
skills or play. This is a great activity for boys & girls & a great way to burn some energy in these
winter months!
When: Sunday January 30, 2016
Time: 11:30-1:00 p.m.
Where: Bluewater Cheer Athletics located at 1289 Confederation Road, Unit 3.
(Corner of Confed and Roper, beside Bailey Toyota)
Please bring a water bottle. Only indoor shoes can be worn in the gym. Have your Little wear comfortable
clothing. We will provide juice boxes and granola bars.

Lambton County Science Fair
The Lambton County Science Fair is being held at Lambton College on April 8th & 9th 2016 for students in grades 3 to 12. There are
many, many awards and prizes up for grabs. Top projects in the grade 7&8, 9&10 and 11&12 categories will win a week long,
all-expenses paid trip to the Canada Wide Science fair in Montreal, Quebec.
Michael Chopcian a local Engineer and Science enthusiastic has volunteered his time to run these sessions.
Helping your Little Brother or Little Sister with a science fair project is a terrific way to spend a bit of quality time together while
working towards a goal!
Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting a tutorial on how to create a project for the 2016 Lambton County Science Fair. This 1 hour session will take you through the easy process of:

Creating a great project out of your idea.
Putting together a fantastic display board.

Chuck A Puck

We are hosting the Chuck A puck on Saturday January 23rd, 2016.
The Sting will be playing Peterborough at 7:05PM.
We are need of matches to come out & sell pucks to the fans. It is
always a fun night out for the kids & you will get to watch the game
at no cost as well. So come out at support BBBS & your local Sting!

A BIG Thank you to all of our matches who braved the cold again this year & came on our
float in the parade. As always we had a great time, looking forward to next year.

CLIMB FOR KIDS

In the fall of 2016, BBBS is planning another Climb For Kids fundraiser. We are in
the early stages of planning this trek & looking to see who would be interested in
the amazing opportunity.
There will be 3 different trips to choose from
Everest Trek—Trek to Everest base camp—17 days
Village Charity Trek—A trek up to one of the villages where Moving
Mountains has been working with the villagers for many years on projects to
improve their villages & lives. The trip would be shorter & less strenuous &
focus more on the charity project in the village—15 days
 Both Everest & Village Trek—26 days


